Wunderlin showed his experience, anticipating the outcome of the opponent's defensive clearance and positioning himself perfectly to volley in an unstoppable shot from the edge of the box. 0 - 1. M. Wunderlin came close to extending the visitors' lead when he found himself completely unmarked in front of the goal after a pass through the middle. He tried to lift the ball over A. Fiol but overcooked it and hit the bar instead. There was concern in the stands when, at the 35 minute mark, Manchester-Untd's A. Fiol hit the ground hard, but he refused the attention of the trainer and rejoined his teammates on the pitch. Demons came close to extending their lead as M. Wunderlin delivered a low effort on goal from the right after 39 minutes, but the angle was too narrow and the shot went harmlessly into the side netting. With 40 minutes played, a quick exchange of passes on the left wing freed I. zanobi of Demons to slip through the defence and score another goal for the visitors. That made the score 0 - 2. 0 - 2 was the halftime score. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Demons, with 77 percent of the ball.
