The crowd of 2868 turning up at
Emeritto today were greeted with some nasty showers of rain.
Patrik Linnanen was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Román Morales and
Björn Ekin.
Differential started off with a 4-5-1 lineup.
Starters: Éstoa - Barbarie, Español, Hutmann, Di Maio - Liuska, Villandiego, Rado, Paprocki, Salgado - Katzarski.
Meer had chosen a strategic 4-3-3 formation.
The following players took the field: Cojocaru - Malsburg, Pellikka, Putz, Bianchi - Külaots, Næss, Záškvara - Sundsvoll, Göd, Obando.
J. Liuska caused the crowd to go mental with his goal up the middle after 24 minutes. This gave Differential the 1 - 0 lead.
The boggy pitch disrupted the game, especially for technical players like
J. Næss.
Cheers filled the stadium as
M. Di Maio broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 2 - 0 to Differential.
Halftime score was 2 - 0.
Differential claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 72 percent.
The home side's
F. Salgado came close to extending the lead 47 minutes into the game. His shot came in from the right hand side but
C. Cojocaru managed to save it with an unbelievable reaction stop.
Differential's
G. Español increased the lead to 3 - 0, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 57 minutes.
By now, the players in Differential felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward.
Differential's
G. Español had an excellent opportunity after 64 minutes, shooting after receiving a pass from the right hand side, but he missed the goal by miles!
F. Salgado wanted to play on, but the Differential coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 70 minutes into the game by
I. Cesuras.
The muddy pitch made the game a gritty affair, which seemed to suit
B. Paprocki just fine.
Given a free kick close to the byline, Differential tried a move that loyal fans may recognise from training. A pass to the side pulled the defence out of position which let
I. Cesuras slip through on goal. He didn't have to break his stride, and slipped the ball past the keeper to make it 4 - 0, 73 minutes into the game.
Differential had most of the ball, with 77 percent of possession.
K. Katzarski performed admirably for Differential.
A. Rado turned in a dismal performance, however.
Most important Meer player was
A. Sundsvoll.
O. Bianchi was a disappointment, however.
The match ends 4 - 0.
