Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and Bloody Field saw a crowd turnout of 7319. MARSJU seemed to prefer attacking in the middle. The visiting J. Paulsson was booed thoroughly by the home crowd 12 minutes into the game, after he broke through the middle and scored, resulting in the visitors taking the lead. 0 - 1 was the score. Gambiti's M. Havlíček was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 19 minutes. The visitors' K. Loch took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 20 minutes into the match. 0 - 2 for Gambiti. The referee showed Gambiti's K. Loch the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. 22 minutes into the game, MARSJU seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a inadequate level of organisation. B. Belderink increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 0 - 3. By now, the players in Gambiti felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. J. Paulsson left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 34 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. H. Ševčík was the replacement. A marvellous MARSJU effort on the right-hand side resulted in a goal after 34 minutes by O. Jäger, making the score 1 - 3. After 37 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as MARSJU found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to poor. A defender managed to keep the ball from crossing the goal-line after a curling shot coming in from the right from M. Havlíček after 38 minutes, and prevented Gambiti from going up another goal. It was 1 - 3 at the break. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Gambiti, with 70 percent of the ball.

During the break, MARSJU's coach went through the team's tactics yet again, getting them up to passable organisation. Content with how the game was proceeding, the Gambiti coach let T. Trane replace C. das Vendas da Barreria after 59 minutes. G. Crookshank tried using a burst of speed to get past his defender after 71 minutes, but it takes more than that to get past fast K. Loch. Some fine movement on the left led to a Gambiti goal after 75 minutes, making it 1 - 4. B. Belderink was noted down as the scorer. 78 minutes into the game, MARSJU seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to poor. With 82 minutes played, M. Havlíček nearly put the visitors another one up as he broke through in the middle and fired from just outside the box, but his shot passed just over the bar. B. Belderink wanted to play on, but the Gambiti coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 85 minutes into the game by A. Resai. Possession in this half belonged to Gambiti, who controlled the ball 70 percent of the time.

MARSJU's top performer was clearly O. Jäger. However, I. Birenbaum made a disastrous appearance. I. Panenka performed admirably for Gambiti. A. Resai on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 1 - 4.
