Simanonis broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake. During the break, knutisme's coach went through the team's tactics yet again, getting them up to solid organisation. After 48 minutes, Basterchamp sent a free kick in high over the penalty box. In what looked like a well-rehearsed move, the ball was headed backwards and reached P. Tizzano, who had plenty of space to place a well aimed shot - 4 - 0. P. Tizzano of Basterchamp received a yellow card after 57 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. A. Leclercq always provides an aerial threat at corners, and with 64 minutes gone, he demonstrated this, outjumping his marker, then letting out an anguished howl as his powerful header went narrowly wide. Guitton didn't pace himself at all, and after a series of daring offensive runs he was too tired to help out in the defensive play. With 89 minutes played, Basterchamp's M. Gordijn almost extended the lead, but his shot from the left glanced off the top of the bar to fall behind the net. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave T.
