previous 9/10 next 1/10  Cimarrones 2 - 3 Haudruff (379445742)

Clouds darkened the skies at Estadio Cimarrones as 3752 spectators turned up for the match. Moša Jezdimirović was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Trpimir Ostojić and Sijmen Hilterman. Cimarrones had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. Starters: Lemonnier - Martell, Cristea, Mateos - Pucułek, Abasolo, Kouba, Argenziano, Milbouw - Nieto, Reau.

Haudruff started off with a 4-4-2 lineup. The following players had been chosen: Mordechai - Pulanić, Welten, Ignat, Niemeyer-Wasserer - Zsittnyán, Ceplichal, Emmanuele, Langhout - Heister, Schneidmühle.

Haudruff's T. Langhout managed to lose the defenders as he advanced down the right wing and scored, putting the visitors ahead after 2 minutes. 0 - 1. Cimarrones's D. Reau was shown a yellow card after 21 minutes for slicing down an opponent. Haudruff's P. Welten made it through the home team's defence on the right hand side 22 minutes into the match. After rounding the keeper, he only had to place the ball in the unguarded goal when a defender slid in and cleared the ball off the line. 28 minutes into the game, A. Argenziano came close to levelling the score with a dangerous shot from the centre of the area that went just over the bar. With 42 minutes played, a quick exchange of passes on the left wing freed R. Schneidmühle of Haudruff to slip through the defence and score another goal for the visitors. That made the score 0 - 2. At 43 minutes into the game, Cimarrones's A. Argenziano deftly knocked the ball home after an impressive run down the left, reducing the visitors' lead to 1 - 2. No matter how hard he tried, W. Milbouw just couldn't get his shot past the visitors' right side defence after 43 minutes. The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 2. Cimarrones claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 61 percent.

Haudruff's A. Ignat got himself booked for a foul. Cimarrones were forced into a substitution as B. Pucułek couldn't continue due to some rough treatment, forcing H. Manzano to come in off the bench. With 59 minutes played, after a good run down the left, S. Mateos went down looking for a penalty after a challenge from the visitors' right fullback, but the referee waved play on, and later warned him for diving. A. Ceplichal wanted to play on, but the Haudruff coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 70 minutes into the game by R. Mays. The coach of Haudruff was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 71 minutes, F. Goldfuß came on for P. Welten. Cimarrones's D. Reau had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 72 minutes having been played. M. Acerete was the replacement. 73 minutes into the game, Haudruff worked the left side industriously creating several opportunities to add to their lead, but just couldn't apply the finishing touch. The Haudruff players could smell victory in the air. É. Heister wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for D. Rihm after 74 minutes. With 81 minutes having been played, Cimarrones scored to make it 2 - 2. A dribble down the left wing, followed by a shot which took a wicked bounce off a defender resulted in the keeper having no chance. Everyone thought it'd been an own goal, but A. Argenziano was marked down as the scorer. Cimarrones made a bid to take the lead as a ball coming in on the right hand side left M. Nieto completely alone with keeper E. Mordechai, who made a spectacular block. Cimarrones had most of the ball, with 57 percent of possession.

As neither team had managed to win, extra time was called. The terraces were silenced after 94 minutes when Haudruff's I. Emmanuele put the guests ahead 2 - 3, following an attack on the right. With that Haudruff had won the game in extra time. Most important Cimarrones player was M. Nieto. On the other hand, M. Cristea's play was disheartening. The most dominating Haudruff player was without a doubt R. Schneidmühle. F. Goldfuß on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 2 - 3.
