Good work by the BB08 defensive line after 9 minutes produced a good counterattack chance, which cut elegantly down the middle of the pitch and found C. Belfor alone in front of the goal, but his shot whistled just wide. BB08 took the lead 12 minutes into the game by 1 - 0, as R. Schatzmann elegantly received a long range pass through the middle, finishing off with a half-volley shot just below the bar. BB08 solidified their lead at the 15 minute mark, as J. Ehrsam dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 2 - 0. There was concern in the stands when, at the 24 minute mark, BB08's F. Moins hit the ground hard, but he refused the attention of the trainer and rejoined his teammates on the pitch. 28 minutes into the game, gerards seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to passable. After 29 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by H. Palander might have resulted in another goal for BB08. However, B. Valière made a spectacular save. 2 - 0 was the score after the first half. BB08 enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 53 percent of possession.

A review of the gameplan helped gerards get back to a solid organisation when the referee blew his whistle again. With 54 minutes gone, BB08 had a free kick in a decent position. Despite this being a great chance for a shot, they tried a cheeky move intended to bypass the defence. However, R. Haebler did not manage to connect with it cleanly and the ball went out. BB08's H. Palander was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 55 minutes. 57 minutes in, an amazing pass from the left side resulted in a goal for the visitors, as S. Rousseau anticipated the through ball and scored, reducing the deficit to 2 - 1. A great save by keeper B. Valière after 59 minutes kept the visitors in the game after C. Belfor struck from the left with a real cannonball. 64 minutes in, gerards appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only passable. BB08 were given a gift! The ref dubiously awarded them a penalty 71 minutes into the match, which was neatly put away by R. Schatzmann. 3 - 1 for the home side. Confident in their lead, BB08's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by BB08, with 55 percent of the ball.

BB08's best player was R. Schatzmann. S. Baki on the other hand, had a terrible day. M. Lepelletier performed admirably for gerards. However, Y. Rocard made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 3 - 1.
