Dark skies made the crowd of 4003 at Canelli Arena a little nervous, but the rain held off. Tomke Hoser was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Nicolau Delcarte and Cyril Janauschek. A 5-3-2 alignment was the formation of choice for FCDornia. Lineup: Famiglietti - Salomoni, Amidani, Polesello, Naeem, Kovalev - Occhipinti, Ronsisvalle, Del Genio - Brignon, Juengling.

CityGoals started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. Starters: Nenis - Haag, Stefansen, Božič - Kortesniemi, Kalhous, Viuhkola, Räisänen, Taijala - Raja, Benallal.

FCDornia's D. Polesello got himself booked for a foul. FCDornia broke through on the left 24 minutes into the game, with C. Del Genio firing in from an acute angle to give the home side a 1 - 0 lead. FCDornia managed to extend their lead to 2 - 0 when C. Del Genio cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. FCDornia increased the lead as D. Juengling struck to make the score 3 - 0 after an attack from the left left him unmarked in front of the keeper. With 40 minutes played, FCDornia put themselves up 4 - 0 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to K. Occhipinti, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. Occhipinti could have increased the lead after 55 minutes, but his shot hit the post after a nice combination in the middle of the park. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave A. Benallal from CityGoals a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 69 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! A loud groan was heard from the fans of FCDornia, as D. Kovalev left the pitch in too much pain to finish the match. G. Kolyvanov took his place on the field. Cheers filled the stadium as L. Brignon broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 6 - 0 to FCDornia. CityGoals had to manage with a reduced squad after 78 minutes, as E. Kortesniemi got sent off for a needless foul away from the game's action. Things were deteriorating for the away team as FCDornia scored another to make it 7 - 0 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for D. Juengling after 79 minutes. FCDornia had most of the ball, with 72 percent of possession.

FCDornia's top performer was clearly P. Amidani. On the other hand, D. Famiglietti's play was disheartening. The most dominating CityGoals player was without a doubt I. Božič. J. Stefansen turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 7 - 0.
