After some beautiful movement down the left wing, R. Pigoli scored for LIGURIA putting them ahead 1 - 0, after 13 minutes. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave L. Predoiu from LIGURIA a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 25 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! In a fantastic display of determination, Vibrata's G. Zanasi forced himself to his feet, after an opponent viciously knocked him down. P. Lewholt could have increased the lead after 31 minutes, but his shot hit the post after a nice combination in the middle of the park. Things were deteriorating for the away team as LIGURIA scored another to make it 2 - 0 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for W. Maischak after 40 minutes. LIGURIA's P. Lewholt proved that he's been around on a football pitch before, when he took advantage of a few moments of confusion in the opposition's defensive line and elegantly scored for 3 - 0. The players of LIGURIA now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. LIGURIA's B. Grom saw his fine effort strike the top of the bar following some good work up the middle by his teammates after 43 minutes. The teams went for the halftime break at 3 - 0. Possession in this half belonged to LIGURIA, who controlled the ball 70 percent of the time.

After 46 minutes of the match, the manager still hoped to turn things around. D. Ulici was ordered to assume a different position on the pitch. He took the place of L. Silva, who in turn replaced his team mate. After 46 minutes, Vibrata switched P. Zubani with T. Lengacher, hoping for a quick impact on the pitch. L. Mripa should probably have put his team up another goal after 51 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by S. Pedersen kept the visitors in the game. P. Lewholt had a fantastic opportunity to put LIGURIA up another goal 56 minutes into the match, but he fired just over the crossbar. LIGURIA increased the lead as L. Predoiu struck to make the score 4 - 0 after an attack from the left left him unmarked in front of the keeper. LIGURIA enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 76 percent of possession.

LIGURIA's top performer was clearly W. Maischak. D. Manent was a disappointment, however. G. Zanasi performed admirably for Vibrata. M. Toftlund on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 4 - 0.
