Koolraap 1 - 3 Pradel
(379534935)

30-05-2012 17.20
Due to an all-day shower, 1893 paying spectators got to see a match on a pitch-turned-bog at
De Gaellemuniger voetbaltempel.
Nigel Spinks was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Toke Høj and
Hristo Peychev.
Koolraap decided to use a 5-4-1 set up.
Lineup: Barbu - Overweg, Hachmann, Badale, Kempter, Beckers - Grau, Castillo, Rahma, Murdoch - Leonetti.
A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Pradel.
The following players had been chosen: Steunou - Bergère, Mondon, Lacombe - Mandin, Rio, Baque, Dufresne, Lesueur - Goupil, Vinet.
The guests took the lead 8 minutes into the match, after a right-side attack resulted in
A. Baque scoring to make it 0 - 1.
Given a free kick close to the byline, Pradel tried a move that loyal fans may recognise from training. A pass to the side pulled the defence out of position which let
J. Bergère slip through on goal. He didn't have to break his stride, and slipped the ball past the keeper to make it 0 - 2, 9 minutes into the game.
Koolraap's
T. Overweg managed a superb strike from the left after 20 minutes that would have left goalkeeper
G. Steunou without a chance, had it not hit the post.
C. Mondon of Pradel seemed to be floating in the air as he elegantly headed in to make the score 0 - 3 after a corner kick that was nicely executed by
B. Lesueur.
0 - 3 was the halftime score.
Koolraap claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 55 percent.
The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave
T. Overweg from Koolraap a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 68 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient!
T. Badale received some harsh words from his coach after he acted foolishly 73 minutes into the match, probably out of lack of experience, and almost let an opponent score.
Koolraap didn't give in and with 83 minutes played
S. Leonetti was able to make the score 1 - 3 after an attack on the right.
After several obvious shirt pulling incidents,
G. Hachmann got himself booked. The manager of Koolraap was not happy.
S. Leonetti spent most of the time in a heap on the ground today, his normally rapid movement hindered by the slippery pitch.
S. Leonetti challenged the visitors' central defence eagerly, producing a good chance 89 minutes into the game as he went for a through ball. But, as so many times before, the guests' defensive efforts got the best of it.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Koolraap, with 55 percent of the ball.
Koolraap's best player was
G. Hachmann.
On the other hand,
C. Murdoch's play was disheartening.
Most important Pradel player was
A. Baque.
S. Rio was a disappointment, however.
The match ends 1 - 3.
