A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of Flaviense to 4 - 0 as J. Brás finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle. Flaviense were given a gift! The ref dubiously awarded them a penalty 44 minutes into the match, which was neatly put away by O. Seyed Salehi. 5 - 0 for the home side. The teams went for the halftime break at 5 - 0. Flaviense enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 65 percent of possession.

The home side's A. Damboeck came close to extending the lead 53 minutes into the game. His shot came in from the right hand side but C. Lindø Westergaard managed to save it with an unbelievable reaction stop. After 55 minutes of the match, the manager still hoped to turn things around. A. Stensland was ordered to assume a different position on the pitch. He took the place of G. Hvam, who in turn replaced his team mate. Some things can only be learned through experience, and A. Stensland should take his lesson to heart after nearly gifting Flaviense a goal with 70 minutes of the match played. Maybe due to the uphill battle the team was facing, the Geiriljas manager looked to change things around. After 70 minutes, T. Halvorsen and B. Sæter swapped positions on the field. With 79 minutes played, Flaviense put themselves up 6 - 0 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to W. Kłębacz, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. Flaviense increased the lead as O. Seyed Salehi struck to make the score 7 - 0 after an attack from the left left him unmarked in front of the keeper. At that, O. Seyed Salehi was noted down for a hat trick! G. Hvam's early cross saw the defenders caught out of position and the alert S. Gervasutti was able to pounce and roll the ball past the hapless goalkeeper to score for Geiriljas. 7 - 1. 86 minutes into the game, Flaviense were awarded a penalty that O. Seyed Salehi turned into 8 - 1 without a problem. Content with how the game was proceeding, the Flaviense coach let F. Amdisen replace M. Stoye after 89 minutes. J. Brás wanted to play on, but the Flaviense coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 89 minutes into the game by J. Balilaj. As the captain was no longer on the pitch, B. Lopes took over the role of being the Flaviense captain. The Flaviense players could smell victory in the air. A. Damboeck wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for P.
