30-05-2012 12.25
Dark skies made the crowd of 3559 at
Carolina Lopera Stadium a little nervous, but the rain held off.
Balthasar Schaus was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Cliff Rantala and
Kosta Toulikas.
Artesanos tactics involved an interesting 5-5-0 combination.
They fielded: Əmilli - Czagala, Falkenmo, Tobalina, Grenda, Pantani - Petr, Moral Perez, Juviño, Schiopu, Faruq -.
A 4-5-1 alignment was the formation of choice for Bavaria.
Starters: Kleus - Patzke, Jesus, Böll, Gschwänler - Entzebeck, Möckern, Trude, Stridman, Retterath - Laze.
The strategy for Artesanos was to use their ability to press.
Artesanos fans held their breath as
F. Pantani scampered down the left side. He successfully avoided all challenges and cracked home the shot for 1 - 0!
After 16 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and
X. Juviño gave the Artesanos supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 2 - 0.
Bavaria had a fair chance to reply after 17 minutes due to some fine moves down the left, but in the end
B. Möckern was slow to keep up with the play and was unable to make it into the penalty box to apply a finish.
26 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as
I. Czagala broke through, making the score 3 - 0 for Artesanos.
After 34 minutes,
X. Juviño put Artesanos ahead 4 - 0 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing.

F. Pantani finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle.
Artesanos's
A. Faruq increased the lead to 6 - 0, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 61 minutes.
C. Tobalina's inexperience was obvious when his continual hesitation to put in a tackle allowed
I. Waszkewitz plenty of time to pick an unguarded area of the goal for his shot, marking one for Bavaria. 6 - 1.
C. Moral Perez increased Artesanos's lead to 7 - 1 with a penalty spot cannonball.
Artesanos claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 66 percent.
