A dribble down the left wing, followed by a shot which took a wicked bounce off a defender resulted in the keeper having no chance. Everyone thought it'd been an own goal, but I. Ruijter was marked down as the scorer. 2 - 2 was the halftime score. Possession in this half belonged to Beppesboys, who controlled the ball 66 percent of the time.

Some good play on the left wing created an opportunity for the visitors 52 minutes into the match, and J. Richart wasn't about to let it go by. He got past the defenders and fired a shot that the keeper just missed. 2 - 3 for the visitors. With 56 minutes played, Beppesboys put themselves up 2 - 4 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was J. Gillissen. The Beppesboys players could smell victory in the air. J. Richart wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for B. Bronsveld after 75 minutes. After 89 minutes of the match, the manager still hoped to turn things around. Z. Magyar was ordered to assume a different position on the pitch. He took the place of M. Kostov, who in turn replaced his team mate. Beppesboys claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 69 percent.
