Counter-attacking seemed to be the preferred strategy of Vibonver. Gammas's L. Röthlisberger tried to break through in the middle repeatedly, but couldn't get past the visitors' defenders. Coming in from the right, Vibonver had a good opportunity to convert on a counterattack after 25 minutes, but D. Teuşan's attempt to finish was easily stopped. Gammas fans held their breath as M. Bellamia scampered down the left side. He successfully avoided all challenges and cracked home the shot for 1 - 0! Vibonver will have to do without Ł. Pękalski for a time, due to a bad foot injury at the 35 minute mark. He was substituted by S. Bajagić. 1 - 0 was the score after the first half. The home side's A. Giacopello came close to extending the lead 50 minutes into the game. His shot came in from the right hand side but D. Dufay managed to save it with an unbelievable reaction stop. M. Bellamia could have put Gammas up one more, but he fired into the side netting after breaking free on the left after 55 minutes. Gammas's S. Wälti saw his fine effort strike the top of the bar following some good work up the middle by his teammates after 65 minutes. Gammas claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 61 percent.

Most important Gammas player was L. Monti. On the other hand, G. Briffaud's play was disheartening. Vibonver's top performer was clearly J. Bars. G. Daukšts was a disappointment, however. The match ends 1 - 0.
