The players of amojito12 now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. After 27 minutes of game time, P. Paredes had an excellent opportunity to add to the visitors' lead, clipping a volley hooked in from the right, but G. Lavoine was in the right place and tipped the ball over for a corner. H. Ekkelenkamp of Maestro was able to make an impressive rush past the sluggish P. Paredes, which resulted in a goal making the score 1 - 2. The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 2. Possession in this half belonged to amojito12, who controlled the ball 57 percent of the time.

During the break, amojito12's coach went through the team's tactics yet again, getting them up to passable organisation.
