Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 3350 to Olimpico ruffini. This was a good period for the visitors, with several opportunities to take the lead, particularly when D. Olărasu slipped through the defence on the right to come up alone against D. Kwiliński, but the home side's keeper showed his lightning reflexes. C. Menth gave football the lead as he successfully challenged the guests' central defenders, then slotted the ball into the bottom corner, giving the keeper no chance. 1 - 0 35 minutes into the match Patriots's J. Homonnay head butted an opponent nastily, and so the referee sent him off immediately. 1 - 0 was the score after the first half. Possession in this half belonged to football, who controlled the ball 66 percent of the time.

The visitors almost came back with an equaliser 76 minutes into the match after a good combination down the middle, but when V. Zsámboki tried to finish the attack, he couldn't deliver the shot hard enough to seriously challenge the keeper. S. Paparelli had a fantastic opportunity to put football up another goal 77 minutes into the match, but he fired just over the crossbar. C. Pallini should probably have put his team up another goal after 80 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by M. Radványi kept the visitors in the game. football's C. Menth saw his fine effort strike the top of the bar following some good work up the middle by his teammates after 83 minutes. football claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 65 percent.

football's top performer was clearly C. Torti. C. Cionna was a disappointment, however. P. Chróst performed admirably for Patriots. However, M. Radványi made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 1 - 0.
