Due to an all-day shower, 2997 paying spectators got to see a match on a pitch-turned-bog at
Stadion im. Witolda Pileckiego.
Jaime Naranco was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Mateusz Profic and
Heribert Fassbender.
HUS started off with a 4-5-1 lineup.
Lineup: Ciołczyk - Irgas, Moncanut, Neiswanger, Shalamov - Fułek, Milner, Kończal, Jagas, Bartol - Bouten.
Roboter had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation.
The following players had been chosen: Zehetbauer - Xu, Krug, Baumann - Walter, Thomas, Bernsteiner, Mihaly, Achleitner - Kragulj, Habacht.
HUS seemed to prefer attacking in the middle.
The home side put themselves ahead 1 - 0 after 21 minutes courtesy of a breakthrough from
P. Neiswanger, who scored with a stunning volley following a cross from the right wing.
HUS were determined to attack in the middle, even their wing attacks ended up centrally.
Things were going to get worse for the visitors.
M. Milner squirmed through their central defence after 28 minutes, increasing the lead to 2 - 0.
HUS had to make a substitution after 31 minutes.
C. Irgas limped off the field and was replaced by
L. Birkegaard.
2 - 0 was the halftime score.
HUS claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 58 percent.
M. Jagas left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 50 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead.
J. Gościk was the replacement.
HUS players heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their wing attacks to the middle instead.
R. Bouten should probably have put his team up another goal after 60 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by
B. Zehetbauer kept the visitors in the game.
The coach of HUS was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 60 minutes,
K. Szpyra came on for
K. Bartol.
L. Birkegaard was the new captain of HUS - handed the armband by the departing player.

P. Achleitner's finish was met by the reaching hands of the keeper.
HUS had a good opportunity to attack on the wing, but remembered their instructions to go for middle attacks.
K. Szpyra had a fantastic opportunity to put HUS up another goal 68 minutes into the match, but he fired just over the crossbar.
J. Gościk didn't let the weather get him down and made some great moves on the pitch in spite of the rain.
HUS's
J. Fułek was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 88 minutes.
Given a free kick in a difficult position after 88 minutes, HUS tried a variation that they had practised in training. The kick was sent into the area just in front of the keeper. However, the defence were on their toes and allowed no space for a finish.
HUS enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 57 percent of possession.
R. Kończal performed admirably for HUS.
On the other hand,
K. Szpyra's play was disheartening.
Roboter's top performer was clearly

The match ends 2 - 0.
