(379628823)

30-05-2012 21.55
Overcast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 754 at
Mushroom Arena today.
Eugen Diaconu was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Mark Lüthje and
Antônio César De Meo.
Woodstock decided to use a 3-5-2 set up.
The following players had been chosen: Santarpia - Lobinger, Soares Araújo, Carreño - Guincho, Aires, Gamble, Stover, Heiermann - Aurélio, de Carvalho.
dcdm started off with a 3-5-2 lineup.
The following players took the field: Mons - Skadarka, Kesten, Alaburić - Trošelj, Balogović, Fijamin, Belding, Krolo - Rogina, Reketi.
Woodstock mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle.
dcdm displayed their ability to play creatively.
Woodstock took the lead after 4 minutes as a result of
J. Guincho's peach of a shot from the right hand side of the box - placed beautifully in the top corner. 1 - 0.
A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Woodstock's
J. Guincho increasing the lead to 2 - 0.
32 minutes into the match Woodstock's
K. Heiermann head butted an opponent nastily, and so the referee sent him off immediately.
A corner kick created great disorder in the penalty area with a goal nearly scored by
J. Guincho. At last, Woodstock's
J. de Carvalho was able to backheel the ball in. 3 - 0.
The home team's fans were not happy with the visitors'
S. Krolo's great free kick that resulted in dcdm reducing the score to 3 - 1.
39 minutes into the game, dcdm had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to
solid.
It was 3 - 1 at the break.
dcdm claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 53 percent.
Despite his frustration resulting in the smashing of a few teacups, the coach of dcdm was able to get his message across, and raised dcdm's organisation to
solid.
68 minutes in, dcdm appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only
passable.
Woodstock solidified their lead at the 69 minute mark, as
R. Aurélio dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 4 - 1.
The players of Woodstock now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle.
Coming in on the left,
K. Skadarka did everything right to get a goal for dcdm after 76 minutes, but his finishing shot was stabbed clear by the keeper.
The visitors got one back when
D. Rogina finished off a pass from the left and scored after 81 minutes. 4 - 2 was the score.
Possession of the ball saw an equal split between the teams during the forty-five minutes.
Woodstock's top performer was clearly
R. Aurélio.
R. Lobinger on the other hand, had a terrible day.
Most important dcdm player was
L. Trošelj.
D. Rogina turned in a dismal performance, however.
The match ends 4 - 2.
