Gemütlichkeit 9 - 0 Planken
(379689382)

02-06-2012 19.50
Clear skies welcomed the 49275 spectators who had made their way to
Schlummerbude.
Jonas Loosli was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Todd Parry and
Toni Särkkä.
The derby had been the talk of
Schaan all week and fans of both teams could be seen throughout the stadium.
Gemütlichkeit had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation.
Starters: Nicoletti - Frietsch, Segre, 程泯 (Chengmin) - Stoute, Vinberg, Zelaya, Iacoviello, Nyyssölä - Gisaldi, Cagliostro.
Planken tactics involved an interesting 4-4-2 combination.
They fielded: Gwender - Bruckner, Pfeiffer, Schädler, Nägele - Biedermann, Mülhaupt, Filipelli, Mähr - Paustian, Niederklopfer.
Gemütlichkeit broke through on the left 20 minutes into the game, with
A. Nyyssölä firing in from an acute angle to give the home side a 1 - 0 lead.
Gemütlichkeit managed to extend their lead to 2 - 0 when
C. Cagliostro cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper.
By now, the players in Gemütlichkeit felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward.
Gemütlichkeit's
曹. 程泯 (Chengmin) was shown a yellow card after 27 minutes for slicing down an opponent.
39 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as
L. Gisaldi broke through, making the score 3 - 0 for Gemütlichkeit.
Gemütlichkeit increased the lead as
C. Cagliostro struck to make the score 4 - 0 after an attack from the left left him unmarked in front of the keeper.
Gemütlichkeit put themselves up 5 - 0 when
L. Gisaldi broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake.
It was 5 - 0 at the break.
Gemütlichkeit had most of the ball, with 87 percent of possession.
Cheers filled the stadium as
L. Gisaldi broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 6 - 0 to Gemütlichkeit.
That made three goals for
L. Gisaldi and he was marked down for the hat trick.
Planken's
J. Biedermann had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 70 minutes having been played.
K. Banzer was the replacement.
With 71 minutes played, Gemütlichkeit's
D. Frietsch almost extended the lead, but his shot from the left glanced off the top of the bar to fall behind the net.
Given a free kick close to the byline, Gemütlichkeit tried a move that loyal fans may recognise from training. A pass to the side pulled the defence out of position which let
A. Vinberg slip through on goal. He didn't have to break his stride, and slipped the ball past the keeper to make it 7 - 0, 74 minutes into the game.
Gemütlichkeit solidified their lead at the 78 minute mark, as
曹. 程泯 (Chengmin) dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 8 - 0.
After 82 minutes, Gemütlichkeit sent a free kick in high over the penalty box. In what looked like a well-rehearsed move, the ball was headed backwards and reached
L. Gisaldi, who had plenty of space to place a well aimed shot - 9 - 0.
Gemütlichkeit claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 89 percent.
Gemütlichkeit's top performer was clearly
F. Zelaya.
D. Frietsch was a disappointment, however.
Most important Planken player was
G. Filipelli.
J. Bruckner turned in a dismal performance, however.
The match ends 9 - 0.
