(379693784)

30-05-2012 16.30
Due to an all-day shower, 3197 paying spectators got to see a match on a pitch-turned-bog at
The Red Castle.
Alexandre Serres was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Pierre Chauve and
Mark Valgaeren.
Bryggen decided to use a 2-5-3 set up.
Lineup: Sendra - Mundi, Huttinger - Özpınar, Nagl, Uldal, Klemmensen, Małecki - Ruzau, Hamberg, Knudsen.
A 4-5-1 alignment was the formation of choice for Barcelllona.
The following players took the field: Leeb - Folini, Stiglitz, Stanić, Dickmann - Locks, Gabel, Inselmann, Davidovich, van Gerwen - Raidt.
After 1 minutes, the Barcelllona coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving
T. Raidt off the field.
D. Roppe took his place.
The Barcelllona captaincy was handed to
D. Roppe.
The home crowd was not impressed by the fancy moves of Barcelllona's
G. Folini after 2 minutes. He converted a pass from the left for a goal, resulting in the visitors taking the 0 - 1 lead.
It was a bad day for the usually speedy
A. Ruzau. The mud seemed to slow him down.
24 minutes into the match, a typically brave header by
V. Hamberg from
E. Özpınar's cross looped just over the opposing goalkeeper's desperate reach. Goal for Bryggen, making the score 1 - 1.
Halftime score was 1 - 1.
Barcelllona claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 60 percent.
The visiting
G. Folini was booed thoroughly by the home crowd 70 minutes into the game, after he broke through the middle and scored, resulting in the visitors taking the lead. 1 - 2 was the score.
A. van Gerwen of Barcelllona received a yellow card after 71 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour.
Bryggen's
H. Uldal made an attempt at equalising 72 minutes into the match, coming in from the right, but the ball hit the post and the defence easily cleared the rebound.
Some fine movement on the left led to a Barcelllona goal after 73 minutes, making it 1 - 3.
I. Stiglitz was noted down as the scorer.
Bryggen had a brilliant opportunity to reply as
P. Knudsen received a high ball from the right, striking the ball in the air. Only
P. Leeb's reflexes saved him.
After the ball was lifted in from the left,
T. Gabel was on his own in the home side's penalty area and should have scored after 78 minutes, but missed, probably due to lack of concentration.
Barcelllona's
O. Stanić was shown a yellow card after 80 minutes for slicing down an opponent.
84 minutes in, Barcelllona's
G. Folini received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first.
In a fantastic display of determination, Bryggen's
B. Mundi forced himself to his feet, after an opponent viciously knocked him down.
Barcelllona enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 60 percent of possession.
Bryggen's best player was
A. Ruzau.
However,
S. Klemmensen made a disastrous appearance.
D. Roppe performed admirably for Barcelllona.
C. Locks turned in a dismal performance, however.
The match ends 1 - 3.
