previous 6/10 next 8/10  F.C.Uligans 6 - 0 Lingam (379702258)

A scorching day at San Clemente, where 4354 spectators were in place for today's match. Roger Zimer was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Santiago Llorden and Felix Terrasse. F.C.Uligans started off with a 2-5-3 lineup. The following players took the field: Vere - Pasquinucci, Bentili - Cogoli, Uryupin, Mastrini, Sensitivo, Bacigalupo - Maretti, Ceschina, Brack.

Lingam tactics involved an interesting 5-3-1 combination. Lineup: Razulevičius - Judovičius, Kancius, Zilbershteyn, Gelvinauskas, Kubertavičius - Muščinskis, Štilius, Lapaitis - Piliuginas.

Lingam mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle. After 3 minutes of play, N. Ceschina gave the home team a 1 - 0 lead after an attack coming in from the right. Things were deteriorating for the away team as F.C.Uligans scored another to make it 2 - 0 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for R. Mastrini after 14 minutes. After 17 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as Lingam found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to inadequate. After 40 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and N. Uryupin gave the F.C.Uligans supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 3 - 0. 41 minutes into the game, F.C.Uligans had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to passable. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in F.C.Uligans's F. Brack increasing the lead to 4 - 0. 43 minutes into the game, Lingam seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a weak level of organisation. The teams went for the halftime break at 4 - 0. F.C.Uligans claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 55 percent.

During the break, F.C.Uligans's coach went through the team's tactics yet again, getting them up to solid organisation. The Lingam players spent the break getting a rerun of the team's tactical organisation and regained a passable organisation when the game started again. E. Bacigalupo left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 46 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. G. Lucariello was the replacement. The coach of F.C.Uligans was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 46 minutes, D. Calda came on for E. Bentili. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. N. Ceschina squirmed through their central defence after 49 minutes, increasing the lead to 5 - 0. Lingam needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 69 minutes U. Lapaitis made way for W. Litjens. 72 minutes into the game, Lingam seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to weak. The bench was restless, and with 76 minutes passed Lingam's coach gave F. Snikis the opportunity the player had been hoping for. D. Štilius reluctantly left the field. With 81 minutes played, S. Piliuginas of Lingam fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. W. Litjens enjoyed the sunshine and demonstrated his stunning technique over and over again. 88 minutes in, F.C.Uligans appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only poor. D. Calda increased the lead for F.C.Uligans to 6 - 0, getting a head onto a hooked ball from the right. The ball looked to have taken a deflection on the way in, but he's claiming it! After this, you could see that the players of F.C.Uligans were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals. F.C.Uligans's R. Mastrini startled N. Ceschina with an unexpected pass. Unfortunately, the receiver was too stunned by the play to convert the perfect setup into a goal. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Lingam, with 60 percent of the ball.

The most dominating F.C.Uligans player was without a doubt M. Maretti. N. Ceschina on the other hand, had a terrible day. Lingam's best player was W. Litjens. T. Gelvinauskas was a disappointment, however. The match ends 6 - 0.
