The players of Olympic now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. It was 3 - 0 at the break. Possession in this half belonged to Olympic, who controlled the ball 63 percent of the time.

Coming from the right, D. Antoin almost managed to score another goal for Olympic, but his header was tipped over the bar by the visitors' keeper. Cheers filled the stadium as A. Mahringer broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 4 - 0 to Olympic.
