Confident in their lead, Bieniewo's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. It was 3 - 0 at the break. Bieniewo enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 85 percent of possession.

S. Delalut slipped and slithered in the wet grass. His usual rapid runs were nowhere to be seen today. With 73 minutes played, Bieniewo's well-worked indirect free kick caused havoc in the penalty area, and when the ball eventually fell to B. Galicki he gleefully slotted the ball home to make it 4 - 0. B. Galicki didn't let the weather get him down and made some great moves on the pitch in spite of the rain. After 78 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by B. Galicki might have resulted in another goal for Bieniewo. However, P. Noël made a spectacular save. P. Verba's lack of experience almost gave Bieniewo a goal after 82 minutes, but the shot went right into the keeper's arms. After 84 minutes, T. Rogalla von Bieberstein replied with a fantastic free kick and the ball went in off the bar. 4 - 1. Bieniewo claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 85 percent.

Bieniewo's best player was E. Drakfeldt. W. Grablewski on the other hand, had a terrible day. Braunschweig's top performer was clearly A. Rose. However, P. Noël made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 4 - 1.
