(379756222)

31-05-2012 00.00
Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and
Toca da Doninha saw a crowd turnout of 3758.
Yotam Zandberg was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Anthony Meyer and
Tomas Olsson.
Doninhas decided to use a 4-5-1 set up.
The following players took the field: Morup-Petersen - Romão, Mialon, Resch, Custers - Kähönen, Quattrociocchi, Dubnický, Tripodo, Pasin - Wiersing.
CSKA had chosen a strategic 2-5-3 formation.
The following players had been chosen: Barreiros - Orense, Glória - Hansson, Jovanović, Suns, Bon, Fouret - Ciołek, Finetti, Kardolus.
The wings were the focus of most of Doninhas's attacks today.
2 minutes in, Doninhas's
D. Wiersing received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first.
CSKA were forced into a substitution as
B. Ciołek couldn't continue due to some rough treatment, forcing
J. Epskamp to come in off the bench.
After some beautiful movement down the left wing,
M. Pasin scored for Doninhas putting them ahead 1 - 0, after 15 minutes.
CSKA levelled the score after 16 minutes to make it 1 - 1, as
P. Kardolus struck home after a fine midfield combination through the centre, which left him completely unmarked.
CSKA's
L. Jovanović managed to lose the defenders as he advanced down the right wing and scored, putting the visitors ahead after 32 minutes. 1 - 2.
You could feel the tension in the crowd after the referee awarded the home side a penalty kick and a chance to equalise. Sadly,
C. Tripodo's shot sailed wide of the goal.
After 40 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for
J. Epskamp who increased CSKA's lead to 1 - 3.
The players of CSKA now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle.
A counterattack by Doninhas after 43 minutes could have resulted in a goal, but
D. Wiersing, coming in on the left, couldn't get the shot off.
1 - 3 was the score after the first half.
Possession in this half belonged to Doninhas, who controlled the ball 52 percent of the time.
Content with how the game was proceeding, the CSKA coach let
A. Gunnarsson replace
P. Orense after 46 minutes.
With things not going too well on the field, the Doninhas coach made the decision to swap the positions of
M. Pasin and
T. Custers with 46 minutes played.
With 49 minutes played,
P. Kardolus nearly put the visitors another one up as he broke through in the middle and fired from just outside the box, but his shot passed just over the bar.
After 50 minutes, CSKA's
V. Suns burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 1 - 4.
I. Glória could have added one to the visitors' lead if his free kick had gone just a little lower.
After 58 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed
I. Glória to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 1 - 5.
There was concern in the stands when, at the 63 minute mark, Doninhas's
D. Wiersing hit the ground hard, but he refused the attention of the trainer and rejoined his teammates on the pitch.
Doninhas had most of the ball, with 51 percent of possession.
P. Dubnický performed admirably for Doninhas.
J. Romão was a disappointment, however.
Most important CSKA player was
L. Jovanović.
J. Epskamp on the other hand, had a terrible day.
The match ends 1 - 5.
