It had rained all day, but 2315 hardy fans still made it out to Estadio do Leão. Freddie van der Berken was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Atze Schwertzell and Frank Westfechtel. The wings were the focus of most of Leoes's attacks today. The visiting J. Schorsee was booed thoroughly by the home crowd 14 minutes into the game, after he broke through the middle and scored, resulting in the visitors taking the lead. 0 - 1 was the score. Leoes were determined to attack on the wing and their central attempts were constantly abandoned in favour of the wings. Leoes's R. Ribeiro put his head to a well placed ball, lifted in from the left, and scored to make the score 1 - 1 with 15 minutes showing on the scoreboard clock. Leoes took the lead after 23 minutes as a result of R. Ribeiro's peach of a shot from the right hand side of the box - placed beautifully in the top corner. 2 - 1. 42 minutes into the game Schlappekicker's B. Traexler found a gap in the home side's central defence and scored with a fabulous shot, making it 2 - 2. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, S. Pregueira got himself booked. The manager of Leoes was not happy. 2 - 2 was the halftime score. Possession in this half belonged to Leoes, who controlled the ball 61 percent of the time.

G. Bernard would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. A. Eichelbaum entered the game for Schlappekicker as the match clock showed 48 minutes. With 54 minutes played, the home side managed to get a 3 - 2 lead as S. Pregueira flipped the ball in after a cross from the right. Leoes put themselves up 4 - 2 when K. Akyel broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake. R. Ribeiro wanted to play on, but the Leoes coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 70 minutes into the game by L. Sacavém. With 71 minutes played, X. Herrenhäuser of Schlappekicker fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. The game was characterised by rough play and many physical challenges on the wet field, but A. Rocha showed great heart and had a good game. C. Serino had a hard time on the waterlogged pitch - his trademark technique was nowhere in sight today. After 84 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and A. Melita gave the Leoes supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 5 - 2. After 86 minutes, Leoes's S. Pregueira fell awkwardly, but was determined to stay in the match. That's the spirit! L. Sacavém unleashed a swerving effort from the right that the visitors' keeper did well to tip wide. Leoes increased the lead as L. Sacavém struck to make the score 6 - 2 after an attack from the left left him unmarked in front of the keeper. The players of Leoes now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. Leoes had most of the ball, with 64 percent of possession.

The most dominating Leoes player was without a doubt L. Sacavém. F. Baillard was a disappointment, however. W. Hunde performed admirably for Schlappekicker. On the other hand, M. Pandini's play was disheartening. The match ends 6 - 2.
