Dark skies made the crowd of 1026 at
Speer-Arena a little nervous, but the rain held off.
Fernando Jirafales was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Teemu Ritola and
Othmar Hegler.
FC-Gingg decided to use a 5-3-2 set up.
They fielded: Daubringen - Kuenz, Torbjärnsson, Burgman, Glitsos, Vaccelli - Nyhen, Żyliński, Dyngby - Ninov, Picot.
Boys had chosen a strategic 2-5-3 formation.
Starters: Thanner - Sfiggas, Penkov - Bruehlmann, Chagas, Somville, Štorić, Verdyck - Savion, Seeliger, Sullivan.
FC-Gingg took the lead, 1 - 0, after a penalty 2 minutes into the match.
F. Żyliński scored from the penalty spot.
Coming from the right,
C. Picot almost managed to score another goal for FC-Gingg, but his header was tipped over the bar by the visitors' keeper.
30 minutes into the game, Boys seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a
poor level of organisation.
31 minutes in, Boys appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only
poor.
FC-Gingg showed their counterattack skill 33 minutes into the match by breaking through the middle, with
R. Torbjärnsson scoring uncontested for 2 - 0.
Things were deteriorating for the away team as FC-Gingg scored another to make it 3 - 0 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for
J. Nyhen after 35 minutes.
FC-Gingg solidified their lead at the 39 minute mark, as
F. Żyliński dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 4 - 0.
The players of FC-Gingg now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle.

FC-Gingg claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 76 percent.
The coach gave his players an extra tactical briefing during the break, and after that Boys had
passable organisation.
Things were going to get worse for the visitors.
M. Ninov squirmed through their central defence after 82 minutes, increasing the lead to 5 - 0.
With 83 minutes played, FC-Gingg put themselves up 6 - 0 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to
C. Picot, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home.
FC-Gingg increased the lead as
E. Burgman struck to make the score 7 - 0 after an attack from the left left him unmarked in front of the keeper.
FC-Gingg had most of the ball, with 72 percent of possession.
FC-Gingg's best player was
M. Ninov.
S. Glitsos on the other hand, had a terrible day.
The most dominating Boys player was without a doubt
L. Seeliger.
T. Sfiggas was a disappointment, however.
