Calixto, chipped the keeper and made the score 1 - 0. In a rapid move 22 minutes into the match, C. d'Andrade of Cidadão lost his man and passed the ball to the unmarked C. García Sala who easily hit it home to make it 2 - 0. Luckily the ref didn't see him taunting the opposing fans in celebration - naughty boy! A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Cidadão's J. Xereu increasing the lead to 3 - 0. The players of Cidadão now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. 34 minutes into the game, Cidadão seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to poor. Attacking on the wings was the choice for velo, and they were successfully passing the ball from the middle to the wings to attack. C. Gaivota received some harsh words from his coach after he acted foolishly 38 minutes into the match, probably out of lack of experience, and almost let an opponent score. Cidadão's C. d'Andrade increased the lead to 4 - 0, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 40 minutes. 40 minutes into the game, Cidadão had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to poor. The teams went for the halftime break at 4 - 0. velo claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 59 percent.

Despite his frustration resulting in the smashing of a few teacups, the coach of Cidadão was able to get his message across, and raised Cidadão's organisation to passable. A review of the gameplan helped velo get back to a solid organisation when the referee blew his whistle again. 59 minutes in, velo appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only inadequate. A bit later, velo's F. Braga easily reduced the lead to 4 - 1 after a misunderstanding in the home side's central defence. 84 minutes into the game, velo seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a weak level of organisation. Coming from the right, C. d'Andrade almost managed to score another goal for Cidadão, but his header was tipped over the bar by the visitors' keeper. velo had most of the ball, with 60 percent of possession.

Cidadão's best player was J. Xereu. É. Prêtre was a disappointment, however. The most dominating velo player was without a doubt P. Faria Costa. C. Gaivota turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 4 - 1.
