Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 1651 to Pacaembu. Matti Mäntyniemi was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Alejandro Richieri and Quintiliano Stefani. Ficotoro was, after 43 minutes, almost able to extend the visitors' lead with a well placed diving header after the ball had looped into the centre, but the home side's keeper P. Rosalem made the save. It was 0 - 2 at the break. CSKA had most of the ball, with 66 percent of possession.

Attacking on the wings was the choice for CSKA, and they were successfully passing the ball from the middle to the wings to attack. Some fine movement on the left led to a CSKA goal after 60 minutes, making it 0 - 3. W. Ficotoro was noted down as the scorer. Players in CSKA heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their central attacks to the wings instead. The CSKA players could smell victory in the air. I. Giovani wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for G. Melina after 80 minutes. P. D'Antimi left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 80 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. M. Vaccari was the replacement. The coach of CSKA was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 80 minutes, M. Farneti came on for A. Spadaro. CSKA claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 66 percent.

O. da Silva performed admirably for MM08. C. Aleksandrov turned in a dismal performance, however. Most important CSKA player was N. Carpatelli. On the other hand, A. Apostolov's play was disheartening. The match ends 0 - 3.
