previous 6/10 next 8/10  Parmagianni 5 - 0 Melkeveien (379824081)

It was an exceptionally sunny day for the crowd of 2626 that came out to Parmagianni Arena. Guillaume Macé was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Reinaldo Correia and Joaquim Morales. Parmagianni tactics involved an interesting 5-4-1 combination. Lineup: Mbabazi - Muwanga, Nsereko, Mugisha, Richard, Apolo - Museveni, Ssali, Okurapa, Sebina - Olal.

Melkeveien decided to use a 3-5-2 set up. The following players had been chosen: Negrelli - Olsen, Balcerski, Refsnes - Halvorsen, Granheim, Boddie, Chevereşan, Arıç - Knoops, Barlund.

After 14 minutes, F. Museveni came in from the right, feinted, then sped past the off-balance defender to make the score 1 - 0, giving Parmagianni the lead. 23 minutes in, Parmagianni's F. Ssali received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. There was concern in the stands when, at the 31 minute mark, Melkeveien's P. Chevereşan hit the ground hard, but he refused the attention of the trainer and rejoined his teammates on the pitch. The crowd gasped as F. Museveni of Parmagianni was flattened by an opponent after 32 minutes and had to be carried off. F. Olal came in off the bench. Parmagianni's F. Olal increased the lead to 2 - 0, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 36 minutes. Halftime score was 2 - 0. Parmagianni claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 69 percent.

After 55 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and N. Apolo gave the Parmagianni supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 3 - 0. The players of Parmagianni now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. The sunny day didn't make things easy for A. Arıç who didn't seem his usual powerful self on the pitch. Cheers filled the stadium as F. Ssali broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 4 - 0 to Parmagianni. Things were deteriorating for the away team as Parmagianni scored another to make it 5 - 0 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for N. Apolo after 76 minutes. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave T. Mugisha from Parmagianni a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 79 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! A great save by keeper F. Negrelli after 81 minutes kept the visitors in the game after R. Okurapa struck from the left with a real cannonball. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Parmagianni, with 73 percent of the ball.

R. Okurapa performed admirably for Parmagianni. Y. Muwanga was a disappointment, however. Melkeveien's best player was R. Knoops. J. Halvorsen turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 5 - 0.
