05-06-2012 20.25
3050 fans braved the pouring rain at
FC Wiinikka Suzuki Arena.
Gavril Asandi was the appointed referee.
Wiinikka started off with a 4-5-1 lineup.
Starters: Antenucci - Nevamäki, Alexandersson, Butrymowicz, Levaniemi - Rahkonen, Majaniemi, Nikku, Krennmayer, Leroy - Orak.
Ficküler had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation.
The following players took the field: Räty - Elbinger, Kabala, Claes - Kapeta, Rogovets, Rosenfeld, Schinderhannes, Herdina - Kepler, Antohe.
For their match strategy, Ficküler had decided to use their ability to counter-attack whenever possible.
P. Räty would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise.
J. Gaalman entered the game for Ficküler as the match clock showed 1 minutes.
Wiinikka were very close to putting themselves one up after 18 minutes as
L. Majaniemi got through on the left, but failing in concentration, he shot the ball wide.
J. Rosenfeld finished off the counterattack of Ficküler from the left rather easily, making the score 0 - 1.
Content with how the game was proceeding, the Ficküler coach let
E. Temelkov replace
C. Elbinger after 34 minutes.
V. Claes left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 35 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead.
J. Dietzmann was the replacement.
Wiinikka were awarded a penalty with 35 minutes played, and
H. Alexandersson made no mistake as he effortlessly slotted the equaliser home. 1 - 1.
After a fine move down the middle
S. Leroy nearly gave the home side a goal after 37 minutes. However the finishing shot went just wide.
It was 1 - 1 at the break.
Wiinikka enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 61 percent of possession.
The referee showed Wiinikka's
L. Nikku the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge.
66 minutes in, Wiinikka appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only
passable.
Some things can only be learned through experience, and
L. Levaniemi should take his lesson to heart after nearly gifting Ficküler a goal with 74 minutes of the match played.
With 76 minutes gone, a long pass from the defence of Ficküler resulted in a counterattack that set
H. Kepler free through the middle, but the keeper made a spectacular diving save.
79 minutes into the game, Wiinikka had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to
weak.
Against a lesser team, Wiinikka could very well have succeeded with their smart indirect free kick routine after 80 minutes. A trio of passes took the ball all the way past the defenders, but by then the intended recipient was already blocked off and the keeper could make a leisurely save.
After 81 minutes, the defensive line of Ficküler created a counterattack through the middle that gave
F. Rogovets a good look at the goal, but his shot glanced harmlessly off the crossbar.
The home crowd was not impressed by the fancy moves of Ficküler's
H. Kepler after 86 minutes. He converted a pass from the left for a goal, resulting in the visitors taking the 1 - 2 lead.
Possession in this half belonged to Wiinikka, who controlled the ball 55 percent of the time.
Wiinikka's top performer was clearly
İ. Orak.
L. Levaniemi was a disappointment, however.
Most important Ficküler player was
M. Kabala.
However,
C. Schinderhannes made a disastrous appearance.
The match ends 1 - 2.
