The weather was pretty good, and a crowd of 2722 had shown up at Catalunya independent for the match. Andrzej Walaszczyk was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Per Astrup and Anders Bäckling. MofkeiSs had chosen a strategic 4-3-3 formation. The following players took the field: Cordero - Abas, Andrade, Lara Martínez, Foces - Håland, Mon, Kröhnling - Vas-Fillado, Vilis, Möllmann.

Orty tactics involved an interesting 4-4-2 combination. They fielded: Gambrowski - Andrejeff, Braüner, Auringen, Río - Zöhrer, Delporte, Lücken, Rummert - Agosti, Frederich.

MofkeiSs were relying on their ability to counter-attack. Orty saw most attack opportunities on the wings. After 8 minutes, Orty sent a free kick in high over the penalty box. In what looked like a well-rehearsed move, the ball was headed backwards and reached H. Lücken, who had plenty of space to place a well aimed shot - 0 - 1. Orty's S. Delporte made it through the home team's defence on the right hand side 18 minutes into the match. After rounding the keeper, he only had to place the ball in the unguarded goal when a defender slid in and cleared the ball off the line. A corner kick created great disorder in the penalty area with a goal nearly scored by H. Lücken. At last, Orty's S. Delporte was able to backheel the ball in. 0 - 2. With 32 minutes on the clock, M. Håland surprised the guests' goalkeeper with a snappy free kick, which reduced their lead to 1 - 2. Had it not been for one of the home defenders, E. Agosti would have put Orty up another goal 33 minutes into the match with his audacious lob from the right wing. Orty increased the lead to 1 - 3 as L. Río scored from the penalty spot, putting the ball in near the top left corner. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave G. Kröhnling from MofkeiSs a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 40 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! E. Andrejeff of Orty seemed to be floating in the air as he elegantly headed in to make the score 1 - 4 after a corner kick that was nicely executed by L. Río. Confident in their lead, Orty's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. After 43 minutes of game time, J. Braüner had an excellent opportunity to add to the visitors' lead, clipping a volley hooked in from the right, but D. Cordero was in the right place and tipped the ball over for a corner. 1 - 4 was the score after the first half. Orty claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 70 percent.

With 56 minutes played, seemingly due to lack of experience, A. Lara Martínez needlessly tripped an opponent just outside the penalty area, but the free kick that followed didn't succeed. Orty had a good opportunity to attack in the middle, but remembered their instructions to focus on wing attacks instead. A drive down the left side allowed P. Auringen to get in close and score another goal for Orty after 58 minutes, taking the score to 1 - 5. A penalty was awarded after 72 minutes, and L. Río made the most of his chance to put Orty up by another goal. 1 - 6 for the visitors. After the ball was lifted in from the left, C. Frederich was on his own in the home side's penalty area and should have scored after 73 minutes, but missed, probably due to lack of concentration. MofkeiSs played a good counterattacking move down the left 74 minutes into the match, with D. Vas-Fillado finishing well for 2 - 6. Orty enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 72 percent of possession.

MofkeiSs's top performer was clearly M. Håland. A. Lara Martínez turned in a dismal performance, however. The most dominating Orty player was without a doubt E. Agosti. C. Frederich was a disappointment, however. The match ends 2 - 6.
