Pressing was the tactic of the day for Leytron. After 2 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as Leytron found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to passable. 13 minutes in, Leytron appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only poor. After 16 minutes, J. Benintende sent the corner kick right to J. Simula who headed it sharply past the keeper. 0 - 1! After 19 minutes, Vilenjaci were awarded a free kick. Rather than shooting straight at goal, the taker went for an indirect variant which seemed to take his team mates a bit by surprise. G. Constantin did attempt a finish, but from an awkward position, sending the ball into the away fans. Coming in from the right, Leytron had a good opportunity to convert on a counterattack after 20 minutes, but G. Ionel's attempt to finish was easily stopped. Leytron's talent at pressing frustrated the spectators as the game became a dire midfield struggle. 0 - 1 was the score after the first half. Vilenjaci had most of the ball, with 65 percent of possession.

During the break, Leytron's coach went through the team's tactics yet again, getting them up to passable organisation. After a fatal mistake from the away team's right side defence 50 minutes into the match, an alert D. Miočev bagged the ball for Vilenjaci, levelling the score to 1 - 1. After the game, the most discussed event will probably be the penalty given after 51 minutes that gave the visitors the 1 - 2 lead. Despite the controversy, J. Benintende struck home the penalty, as cool as anything. D. Miočev's lack of experience almost gave Leytron a goal after 52 minutes, but the shot went right into the keeper's arms. 59 minutes into the game, Leytron seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to weak. 70 minutes in, and Vilenjaci were able to score the equalising goal to make it 2 - 2 when H. Zillner picked up a pass coming in from the right and chipped it past the away team's keeper. The home side put themselves ahead 3 - 2 after 75 minutes courtesy of a breakthrough from S. Zobel, who scored with a stunning volley following a cross from the right wing. After 79 minutes, Leytron's P. Chiappi fell awkwardly, but was determined to stay in the match. That's the spirit! Although the whole team were struggling to impress, Leytron's G. Menashe was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 89 minutes. M. Quezada was given a chance to change things around. After 89 minutes, Leytron switched G. Ionel with E. Durukan, hoping for a quick impact on the pitch. The bench was restless, and with 89 minutes passed Leytron's coach gave M. Fusco the opportunity the player had been hoping for. E. Grünenfelder reluctantly left the field. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Vilenjaci, with 58 percent of the ball.

Vilenjaci's best player was H. Zillner. However, C. Villani made a disastrous appearance. Leytron's top performer was clearly E. Durukan. H. Lagrone was a disappointment, however. The match ends 3 - 2.
