2641 fans braved the pouring rain at Nuevo Estadio Betiko. José Alberto Catalão was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Roger Kennedy and Luigi Viola. Betikada started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. Starters: Steigert - Kuropatnicki, Rachoń, Büchner - Szela, Doniecki, Dubanevičius, Lähti, Kuźma - Orcaner, Martí Tovar.

A 4-3-3 alignment was the formation of choice for ACF. The following players took the field: Miklavžina - Demeščionokas, Palmese, Laigle, Larrauri - Joon, Braeske, Trautsamwieser - Pessina, Rogeiro, Ramos.

A mistake by the home side's central defence after 9 minutes allowed E. Rogeiro to score for ACF. The scoreboard now read 0 - 1. 11 minutes in, Betikada's D. Doniecki received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. After 17 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as ACF found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to inadequate. Betikada's G. Orcaner made a successful breakthrough on the left after 31 minutes and should have levelled the score, but instead he clipped it over the bar. A late sliding challenge from D. Doniecki was deemed to be his second yellow card offence by the referee, resulting in him being sent off, and Betikada left a man down. T. Laigle's knee will be throbbing for days, but thankfully for ACF, he bravely continued in the match. After the ball was lifted in from the left, L. Ramos was on his own in the home side's penalty area and should have scored after 34 minutes, but missed, probably due to lack of concentration. The home crowd was not impressed when A. Demeščionokas came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 36 minutes. ACF were now up 0 - 2. With 38 minutes on the clock, K. Kuropatnicki surprised the guests' goalkeeper with a snappy free kick, which reduced their lead to 1 - 2. With 39 minutes played, a quick exchange of passes on the left wing freed L. Ramos of ACF to slip through the defence and score another goal for the visitors. That made the score 1 - 3. At this point, it was obvious that the players of ACF lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. 1 - 3 was the score after the first half. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by ACF, with 58 percent of the ball.

During the break, ACF's coach went through the team's tactics yet again, getting them up to solid organisation. L. Ramos wanted to play on, but the ACF coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 46 minutes into the game by N. Hilbert. The ACF players could smell victory in the air. B. Trautsamwieser wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for J. Oldenburger after 46 minutes. The referee showed Betikada's A. Rachoń the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. A misunderstanding between the visitors' keeper F. Miklavžina and his left defence could have resulted in a goal for Betikada, but J. Kuźma's finish was way too lame. After 54 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave E. Rogeiro a chance to increase the lead for ACF, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 1 - 4. G. Pessina of ACF took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 63 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 1 - 5. Betikada's B. Szela got himself booked for a foul. R. Joon of ACF had to be helped off the pitch as an injury meant he was unable to finish the game. S. Della Mea came in to finish the match. It was a bad day for the usually speedy E. Braeske. The mud seemed to slow him down. ACF's E. Braeske made it through the home team's defence on the right hand side 82 minutes into the match. After rounding the keeper, he only had to place the ball in the unguarded goal when a defender slid in and cleared the ball off the line. ACF had most of the ball, with 60 percent of possession.

G. Orcaner performed admirably for Betikada. H. Steigert on the other hand, had a terrible day. Most important ACF player was G. Pessina. S. Della Mea turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 1 - 5.
