2822 spectators had come to Caüza Garden this cloudy day. Antoine Fel was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Ploutonas Karamaounas and Rodolfo Chumbe. Taragna mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle. Taragna players heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their wing attacks to the middle instead. The visitors' central defence should have had no trouble clearing the pass to F. Salvà, but the Taragna player managed to shrug them off and fired a low shot past the keeper to give his team the lead. 1 - 0! Taragna put in a good effort on the right, but M. Cabaça saw his volley fly wide of the mark 31 minutes into the game. With 32 minutes played, the visitors could have drawn level after P. Noack came through the middle, but his kick went wide. The visitors didn't give in and, after 33 minutes, A. Bachiorri got through the home side's central line of defence, rolling in the equaliser to make it 1 - 1. Taragna fans held their breath as M. Ponzio scampered down the left side. He successfully avoided all challenges and cracked home the shot for 2 - 1! After 39 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as FCE found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to passable. 2 - 1 was the halftime score. Taragna enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 56 percent of possession.

A review of the gameplan helped FCE get back to a solid organisation when the referee blew his whistle again. The bench was restless, and with 46 minutes passed FCE's coach gave A. Rosso the opportunity the player had been hoping for. I. Wuyts reluctantly left the field. After 46 minutes, FCE switched P. Noack with E. Luchetti, hoping for a quick impact on the pitch. With 46 minutes played, the FCE coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around. G. Plindinas came on, E. Emilsson had to leave the fray. The visitors kept the pressure on to tie the game when, after 46 minutes, A. Rosso broke through the centre and found himself alone with the keeper. G. Palamides made a great block, though. After 70 minutes, J. Lehoux put Taragna ahead 3 - 1 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing. 73 minutes into the game, FCE had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to poor. Taragna were given a gift! The ref dubiously awarded them a penalty 77 minutes into the match, which was neatly put away by F. Salvà. 4 - 1 for the home side. Taragna's F. Salvà struck his penalty well enough to beat the goalkeeper and extend the home team's lead to 5 - 1 after 81 minutes. By then F. Salvà had scored three goals - a hat trick! The players of Taragna now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. O. Deisenrieder of Taragna was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. Taragna increased the lead as L. Mosseck struck to make the score 6 - 1 after an attack from the left left him unmarked in front of the keeper. With 88 minutes played, A. Bachiorri of FCE fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. Taragna claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 64 percent.

The most dominating Taragna player was without a doubt J. Lehoux. F. Lovino on the other hand, had a terrible day. E. Luchetti performed admirably for FCE. H. Veitl turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 6 - 1.
