Sicilia 1 - 1 JUVENTUS
(379901971)

05-06-2012 19.05
Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 698 to
Antonino Ruvolo Arena.
Gerard Joling was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Jan Ericsson and
Sjakie Klaren.
Sicilia started off with a 3-4-3 lineup.
Lineup: Garella - Zappa, Łepkowski, Coviello - Stevanella, Damiano, Lanzolla, Gravuso - Kamberi, Bibo, Babieca.
A 5-4-1 alignment was the formation of choice for JUVENTUS.
The following players had been chosen: Ruano - Marchello, Leparoux, Iwan, Preikschat, Seydy - Tucci, Plazibat, Dimitrijević, Pinas - Royant.
The wings were the focus of most of Sicilia's attacks today.
JUVENTUS clearly had decided to counter-attack when they could.
G. Tucci was doing a great job on his wing, sending in brilliant passes to his teammates in the middle, but
A. Pinas seemed unable to profit from this excellent service.
The guests almost went up by a goal after 12 minutes when
R. Royant came through and shot from the right. The ball bounced harmlessly off the post, though.
G. Coviello of Sicilia was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle.
G. Tucci's fine footwork caused nothing but headaches for
A. Gravuso. The keeper wasn't fooled however, and confidently scooped up the ball.
27 minutes into the game, Sicilia seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to
inadequate.
The visitors' central defence should have had no trouble clearing the pass to
S. Zappa, but the Sicilia player managed to shrug them off and fired a low shot past the keeper to give his team the lead. 1 - 0!
1 - 0 was the score after the first half.
JUVENTUS claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 60 percent.
The coach gave his players an extra tactical briefing during the break, and after that Sicilia had
solid organisation.
Content with how the game was proceeding, the Sicilia coach let
G. Cobbe replace
E. Kamberi after 49 minutes.
Sicilia had to make a substitution after 68 minutes.
G. Cobbe limped off the field and was replaced by
M. Serafini.
69 minutes in, Sicilia appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only
passable.
After 76 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as Sicilia found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to
weak.
JUVENTUS's
D. Seydy was shown a yellow card after 82 minutes for slicing down an opponent.
The visitors'
G. Tucci was alert after a cross coming in from the left, levelling the score at 1 - 1 after 84 minutes.
JUVENTUS had most of the ball, with 58 percent of possession.
The most dominating Sicilia player was without a doubt
S. Bibo.
However,
C. Lanzolla made a disastrous appearance.
JUVENTUS's best player was
K. Plazibat.
A. Ruano turned in a dismal performance, however.
The match ends 1 - 1.
