The 1579 spectators at Eagles Nest were in for an afternoon of sunshine. Bep van Luijkensdaal was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Tommy Läfvenblom and Barend van Veenhuizen. Duivels had chosen a strategic 5-5-0 formation. Starters: Coignard - Hansson, Kapanga, Ferong, Ţăranu, Taylor - Hudler, Weratschnig, Ercolini, Graftiaux, Lombilla -.

Feydro took the lead, 1 - 0, after a penalty 35 minutes into the match. N. Haussmann scored from the penalty spot. 37 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as E. Quero broke through, making the score 2 - 0 for Feydro. Feydro increased the lead as M. Golka struck to make the score 3 - 0 after an attack from the left left him unmarked in front of the keeper. By now, the players in Feydro felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. 41 minutes in, Duivels appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only inadequate. The score became 4 - 0 at 42 minutes into the game, when Feydro were given a penalty which N. Haussmann blasted straight down the middle giving the keeper no chance! With 44 minutes played, Feydro put themselves up 5 - 0 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to M. da Vila, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. 5 - 0 was the score after the first half. Possession in this half belonged to Feydro, who controlled the ball 64 percent of the time.

A review of the gameplan helped Duivels get back to a solid organisation when the referee blew his whistle again. K. Ferong found it hard to catch his breath today in the stifling heat. Feydro's J. Van Eynde had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 52 minutes having been played. M. Snokx was the replacement. With 73 minutes played, Feydro's I. Alastuey almost extended the lead, but his shot from the left glanced off the top of the bar to fall behind the net. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave R. Hudler from Duivels a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 77 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! 80 minutes into the game, Duivels had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to inadequate. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Feydro's E. Tera increasing the lead to 6 - 0. A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of Feydro to 7 - 0 as I. Van Der Biest finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle. Feydro managed to extend their lead to 8 - 0 when I. Alastuey cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. Feydro enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 71 percent of possession.

The most dominating Feydro player was without a doubt E. Quero. On the other hand, B. Åhlflod's play was disheartening. Duivels's top performer was clearly W. Weratschnig. K. Ferong turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 8 - 0.
