Overcast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 2413 at Devils Arena today. Stefan Bladstrand was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Máximo Sotelo and András Bajusz. Devils displayed their ability to play creatively. P. Pálek gave Devils the lead as he successfully challenged the guests' central defenders, then slotted the ball into the bottom corner, giving the keeper no chance. 1 - 0 Things were deteriorating for the away team as Devils scored another to make it 2 - 0 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for A. Goliáš after 34 minutes. Devils's opponents know to be wary of M. Pecháček's speed, but it made little difference as he flew past the defence 38 minutes into the game. Only the keeper could stop him - and he did with a perfectly timed dive! The teams went for the halftime break at 2 - 0. Devils enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 60 percent of possession.

Devils managed to extend their lead to 3 - 0 when A. Svrček cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. Confident in their lead, Devils's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. With 71 minutes played, the Huancayork coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around. S. Málaga came on, J. Muñoz had to leave the fray. B. Florián should probably have put his team up another goal after 73 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by U. Gergely kept the visitors in the game. After 75 minutes, Huancayork switched A. Montenegro with P. Peña, hoping for a quick impact on the pitch. Coming in on the left, P. Peña did everything right to get a goal for Huancayork after 76 minutes, but his finishing shot was stabbed clear by the keeper. Although the whole team were struggling to impress, Huancayork's I. Ccahuantico was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 85 minutes. A. Delonge was given a chance to change things around. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Devils, with 66 percent of the ball.

Devils's top performer was clearly B. Florián. On the other hand, E. Petrík's play was disheartening. Huancayork's best player was P. Poggio. S. Málaga was a disappointment, however. The match ends 3 - 0.
