CFC 1 - 2 jujuy (379952636)

It was an exceptionally sunny day for the crowd of 1859 that came out to Red Devils. Niilo Küttmann was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Sergio Rodríguez and Nikos Patinios. jujuy tactics involved an interesting 4-4-2 combination. They fielded: Lopez - Molski, Di Bernardo, Peirlinck, Trosdahl - Jalif, Almanzora, Pierloot, Ansa - Medrano, Faraon.

jujuy were mostly trying to use their skill at attacking on the flanks. A foul after 18 minutes resulted in a free kick. J. Jonasson cannonballed it, giving the home team the lead 1 - 0. CFC's M. Dorr had an excellent opportunity after 25 minutes, shooting after receiving a pass from the right hand side, but he missed the goal by miles! J. Jonasson of CFC received a yellow card after 26 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. It was a hot and sunny day, and several players seemed worn out. Maybe this was why F. Molski found an unusual amount of space for his snappy footwork. 29 minutes in, jujuy's I. Peirlinck received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. F. Ramani was called on to replace CFC's M. Helmholtz after 36 minutes following a nasty collision. 37 minutes into the match CFC's S. Radu head butted an opponent nastily, and so the referee sent him off immediately. jujuy had a good opportunity to attack in the middle, but remembered their instructions to focus on wing attacks instead. Halftime score was 1 - 0. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by jujuy, with 67 percent of the ball.

Attacking on the wings was the choice for jujuy, and they were successfully passing the ball from the middle to the wings to attack. F. Molski came close to levelling the score 47 minutes into the game, as he was set up with a through ball coming in from the left, but his shot hit the post. After 48 minutes CFC tried to exploit their counterattacking skills, unfortunately, M. Dorr's shot sailed wide after his break down the right. R. Kryza's name was chanted throughout the stadium after he made a fantastic save from A. Pierloot's shot from the left 52 minutes into the match. With 60 minutes played, F. Molski of jujuy fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. The visitors refused to give in and, after 61 minutes, R. Medrano evened things up as he finished off a perfect pass from the right. 1 - 1 jujuy were determined to attack on the wing and their central attempts were constantly abandoned in favour of the wings. jujuy had most of the ball, with 70 percent of possession.

As neither team was able to break the deadlock before the end of regular play, the teams took to the field again for extra time. The home crowd was not impressed by the fancy moves of jujuy's A. Di Bernardo after 97 minutes. He converted a pass from the left for a goal, resulting in the visitors taking the 1 - 2 lead. Extra time over, jujuy were the victors! CFC's best player was M. Dorr. However, A. Buzás made a disastrous appearance. A. Pierloot performed admirably for jujuy. F. Molski turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 1 - 2.
