Dongelmans suddenly found himself completely free on the right wing when a counterattack by Schot_voor_de_boeg caught their opponents by surprise. Only a great save by the opposing keeper prevented him from scoring. With the clock showing 21 minutes played, a great pass from the defensive line of Schot_voor_de_boeg resulted in a counterattack that was smoothly brought under control by B. Gersonius in the centre of the opposition's penalty area, but his finish went high. The counterattack by Schot_voor_de_boeg resulted in a free kick that R. Schraa bent under the crossbar - 1 - 0! 1 - 0 was the score after the first half. Possession in this half belonged to JRune, who controlled the ball 76 percent of the time.

The Schot_voor_de_boeg players could smell victory in the air. J. Tungerberg wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for E. Morin after 46 minutes. Wennemars was given a chance to change things around. The visiting team's A. van Huut was able to score the 1 - 1 equaliser with a header 69 minutes into the match, after some good work on the right. 1 - 2 was the score with 71 minutes played, after A. van Huut cut through the central defence and chipped home a goal for JRune. The coach of JRune was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 75 minutes, G. van Zetten came on for L. Postma. R. Delwiche received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 75 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 1 - 3. The JRune fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. The crowd gasped as V. Dorokhin of Schot_voor_de_boeg was flattened by an opponent after 76 minutes and had to be carried off. B. Vleugel came in off the bench. After the ball was lifted in from the left, R. Voeteling was on his own in the home side's penalty area and should have scored after 82 minutes, but missed, probably due to lack of concentration. JRune had most of the ball, with 75 percent of possession.

The most dominating Schot_voor_de_boeg player was without a doubt K. Dongelmans. H. Tol turned in a dismal performance, however. JRune's top performer was clearly G. de Reiziger. S. Caprã on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 1 - 3.
