Dark skies made the crowd of 21716 at Jimix tgn a little nervous, but the rain held off. Achim Eisl was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Mauricio Andrés Frutos and Clément Melot. For their match strategy, Jimix had decided to use their ability to counter-attack whenever possible. The wings were the focus of most of Saespa's attacks today. Saespa's D. Saespa were determined to attack on the wing and their central attempts were constantly abandoned in favour of the wings. Saespa came close to extending their lead as D. Núñez delivered a low effort on goal from the right after 18 minutes, but the angle was too narrow and the shot went harmlessly into the side netting. After 19 minutes Jimix tried to exploit their counterattacking skills, unfortunately, P. Soto's shot sailed wide after his break down the right. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave D. Núñez from Saespa a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 42 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! O. Pigozzi was the unlucky victim and couldn't continue the game, so Jimix's K. Nuth had to come off the bench. The home crowd was not impressed when M. Yuste came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 44 minutes. Saespa were now up 0 - 2. 0 - 2 was the halftime score. Possession in this half belonged to Saespa, who controlled the ball 72 percent of the time.

E. Oravainen increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 0 - 3. After 77 minutes, the defensive line of Jimix created a counterattack through the middle that gave P. Soto a good look at the goal, but his shot glanced harmlessly off the crossbar. G.
