Clouds darkened the skies at El Santuario as 12000 spectators turned up for the match. David R. Vinterbrant was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Otto Franzl and Danny Hingebjerg. Herratiz nearly put the visitors another one up as he broke through in the middle and fired from just outside the box, but his shot passed just over the bar. A defender managed to keep the ball from crossing the goal-line after a curling shot coming in from the right from I. Herratiz after 16 minutes, and prevented Cadiz1910 from going up another goal. An indecisive keeper looked on as a free kick by Cadiz1910's K. Tuğral put the visitors up 0 - 2 after 17 minutes. The players of Cadiz1910 now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. Cadiz1910's K. Lindby made it through the home team's defence on the right hand side 25 minutes into the match. After rounding the keeper, he only had to place the ball in the unguarded goal when a defender slid in and cleared the ball off the line. Santurtzi's counterattack was impressive and was only stopped by a shocking foul. Somehow, the referee's cards remained in his pocket - a terrible decision! B. Kolding's resulting free kick was easily saved by the keeper. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 2. Cadiz1910 had most of the ball, with 71 percent of possession.

Cadiz1910's C. Lubina left the field after 47 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was M. Faria Souza. Had it not been for one of the home defenders, M. Faria Souza would have put Cadiz1910 up another goal 75 minutes into the match with his audacious lob from the right wing. W. Foucaud was, after 85 minutes, almost able to extend the visitors' lead with a well placed diving header after the ball had looped into the centre, but the home side's keeper D. Todman made the save. Possession in this half belonged to Cadiz1910, who controlled the ball 74 percent of the time.

D. Todman performed admirably for Santurtzi. M. Lloveras on the other hand, had a terrible day. Most important Cadiz1910 player was H. Hube. On the other hand, M. Bącik's play was disheartening. The match ends 0 - 2.
