(380083056)

13-06-2012 12.30
15546 spectators had come to
Casa Rasputinius this cloudy day.
Albert Ali was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Aksel Miller and
Krzysztof Caban.
Rasputinius had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation.
Starters: Bufalieri - Marcu, Colluto, Quintaneiro - Frydrysiak, Crobu, Tuovinen, Ufenast, Dumont - Olivos, Gaborit.
IKE tactics involved an interesting 3-4-3 combination.
The following players had been chosen: Schrittwieser - Kloc, Bozon, Costa - Maestro Líster, Bruurs, Waldegger, Murgatroyd - Mateo-Sagasta, Lührmann, Feliciano.
R. Maestro Líster had a good opportunity to give IKE the lead as he charged down the right and struck the ball towards the top corner, but the home team's goalkeeper made the save.
28 minutes into the game,
M. Mateo-Sagasta almost gave the visitors the lead, as he clipped a delicate lob over the keeper, but the ball glanced harmlessly off the crossbar.
Rasputinius broke through on the left 30 minutes into the game, with
A. Olivos firing in from an acute angle to give the home side a 1 - 0 lead.
Rasputinius's
N. Quintaneiro increased the lead to 2 - 0, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 31 minutes.
IKE fought on and, after 32 minutes,
C. Feliciano was able to reduce the deficit to 2 - 1 after some excellent moves on the right side were finished off with an incredibly clever chip.
The teams went for the halftime break at 2 - 1.
IKE claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 59 percent.
A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Rasputinius's
P. Colluto increasing the lead to 3 - 1.
The crowd roared its approval when
L. Bufalieri somehow managed to block a shot which seemed to be a certain goal by IKE's
O. Lührmann 60 minutes into the game.
A. Dumont unleashed a swerving effort from the right that the visitors' keeper did well to tip wide.
After 75 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as IKE found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to
inadequate.
A well-placed free kick by IKE's
C. Feliciano reduced the lead to 3 - 2.
Rasputinius put in a good effort on the right, but
S. Crobu saw his volley fly wide of the mark 84 minutes into the game.
Possession was split evenly between the teams.
E. Tuovinen performed admirably for Rasputinius.
On the other hand,
F. Ufenast's play was disheartening.
Most important IKE player was
A. Bruurs.
S. Schrittwieser turned in a dismal performance, however.
The match ends 3 - 2.
