Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 19492 to CAMALLON ARENA. Claude Anderson was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Miguel Juan Sardá and Javier Ruiz. Sośnica received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 1. AT.PALMEIRA claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 53 percent.

G. Sanità showed the skills that make him a real crowd pleaser as he, after 47 minutes, wove through the guests' entire central defence and put the 1 - 1 equaliser away. 70 minutes into the game, Malditos wanted to bring some new energy to their game. O. Jakubowski gave P. Samper a quick hug as he left the field. Many thought L. López Ramos ought to have been awarded a penalty 72 minutes into the game, as he went down trying to dribble around R. Alblas after a determined run through the middle. With 73 minutes gone, a long pass from the defence of Malditos resulted in a counterattack that set P. Samper free through the middle, but the keeper made a spectacular diving save. AT.PALMEIRA's B. Vadász was shown a yellow card after 79 minutes for slicing down an opponent. After a fine move down the middle G. Sanità nearly gave the home side a goal after 81 minutes. However the finishing shot went just wide. W. Goschler looked great 85 minutes into the match after stopping a shot from the middle of the penalty area from the visitors' J. Sośnica. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by AT.PALMEIRA, with 58 percent of the ball.

With the scores being level after 90 minutes, the match went into extra time. Malditos took the lead 96 minutes into the game, making the score 1 - 2 after some elegant movement down the middle. E. Galát was the scorer. What a dramatic win for Malditos! AT.PALMEIRA's top performer was clearly G. Korčulanić. V. Crespán was a disappointment, however. Malditos's best player was P. Houseman. R. Alblas turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 1 - 2.
