Klompmaker burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 2. Athomical's A. Stoyanov was shown a yellow card after 27 minutes for slicing down an opponent. R. Alba received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 29 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 3. The Athomical fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. Athomical's A. Germanenko had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 31 minutes having been played. C. Irizarry was the replacement. J. Tholey became the new Athomical captain. 35 minutes into the game, Athomical were awarded a penalty and A. Stoyanov was able to increase the visitors' lead to 0 - 4 rolling the ball in by the right post. By now, the players in Athomical felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. Kostenurka's S. Stoilov left the field after 37 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was R. Boev. The home crowd was not impressed when J. Tholey came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 38 minutes. Athomical were now up 0 - 5. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, V. Borisov got himself booked. The manager of Kostenurka was not happy. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 5. Possession in this half belonged to Athomical, who controlled the ball 79 percent of the time.

The visitors' J. Tholey took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 47 minutes into the match. 0 - 6 for Athomical. That made three goals for J. Tholey and he was marked down for the hat trick. The referee showed Athomical's A. Leivonen the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. With 56 minutes played, G. Mladenov nearly put the visitors another one up as he broke through in the middle and fired from just outside the box, but his shot passed just over the bar. A drive down the left side allowed A. Klompmaker to get in close and score another goal for Athomical after 79 minutes, taking the score to 0 - 7. S. Walczak was called on to replace Athomical's G. Mladenov after 81 minutes following a nasty collision. With 83 minutes played, a quick exchange of passes on the left wing freed C. Irizarry of Athomical to slip through the defence and score another goal for the visitors. That made the score 0 - 8. 84 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 0 - 9 as A. Leivonen finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. Athomical had most of the ball, with 83 percent of possession.

Kostenurka's top performer was clearly R. Boev. L. Panov on the other hand, had a terrible day. The most dominating Athomical player was without a doubt T. Boyadzhiev. On the other hand, R. Alba's play was disheartening. The match ends 0 - 9.
