Due to an all-day shower, 8958 paying spectators got to see a match on a pitch-turned-bog at kmet Arena. Thomas Pinxten was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Kapitonas Škėrys and Ivan Pihlskär. kmet decided to use a 4-4-2 set up. A drive down the left side allowed V. Bertelsen to get in close and score another goal for Orli after 25 minutes, taking the score to 0 - 2. V. Valčić had a hard time on the waterlogged pitch - his trademark technique was nowhere in sight today. With 32 minutes played, a quick exchange of passes on the left wing freed F. Geddes of Orli to slip through the defence and score another goal for the visitors. That made the score 0 - 3. At this point, it was obvious that the players of Orli lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave J. Seničar from kmet a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 34 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! S. Ljubijankič got a fingertip on D. Ogrinec's shot from the left 38 minutes in, and managed to keep the visitors from going up another goal. Orli were determined to attack on the wing and their central attempts were constantly abandoned in favour of the wings. D. Ogrinec increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 0 - 4. With 43 minutes played, Orli put themselves up 0 - 5 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was A. Elmer. 0 - 5 was the halftime score. Possession in this half belonged to Orli, who controlled the ball 85 percent of the time.

A. van der Woerd wanted to play on, but the Orli coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 46 minutes into the game by F. Marchand. V. Bertelsen became the new Orli captain. After 51 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed D. Lucu to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 0 - 6. Orli had a good opportunity to attack in the middle, but remembered their instructions to focus on wing attacks instead. Some fine movement on the left led to a Orli goal after 57 minutes, making it 0 - 7. D. Lucu was noted down as the scorer. At that, D. Lucu was noted down for a hat trick! The home crowd was not impressed when F. Geddes came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 79 minutes. Orli were now up 0 - 8. V. Bertelsen spent most of the time in a heap on the ground today, his normally rapid movement hindered by the slippery pitch. Orli increased their lead after 81 minutes when D. Lucu broke through on the right, upping the score to 0 - 9, much to the home crowd's dismay. D. Ogrinec of Orli took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 86 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 0 - 10. V. Valčić of kmet received a yellow card after 87 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. Orli had most of the ball, with 89 percent of possession.

kmet's best player was N. Humar. However, F. Pavčnik made a disastrous appearance. D. Ogrinec performed admirably for Orli. D. Lucu turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 0 - 10.
