Tatabánya 0 - 9 Ballépés (380164648)

A brilliantly sunny day had enticed a crowd of 9385 to Puskás Ferenc Stadion. Sven-Carsten Starmühler was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Evert-Jan Schuurmans and Jan Ahlmar. Tatabánya started off with a 4-4-2 lineup. Lineup: Lakatos - Hajdu, Németh, Rakonczai, Jakupcsek - Szécsi, Mátyási, Rácz, Czina - Zengei, Izsó.

Ballépés tactics involved an interesting 2-5-3 combination. They fielded: Magyar - López, Ushnanai - Sordyl, Bejtaj, Caso, Hajkó, Potyka - Bárdos, Rácz, Veres.

Going for long shots seemed to be the strategy in use by Ballépés. 0 - 1 was the score with 2 minutes played, after D. Bárdos cut through the central defence and chipped home a goal for Ballépés. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave Z. Potyka from Ballépés a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 3 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! After 4 minutes Tatabánya's K. Szécsi contracted a slight foot injury, but didn't want to leave the game. It was obvious that the tactic of the day for Ballépés was to go for long shots, but in order to score they have to do better than the shooting attempt from Z. Potyka after 26 minutes, which was a total failure. The referee showed Ballépés's M. Sordyl the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. 35 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 0 - 2 as M. Sordyl finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. 37 minutes in, Tatabánya's H. Jakupcsek received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. F. López of Ballépés had to be helped off the pitch as an injury meant he was unable to finish the game. À. Bernal came in to finish the match. A. Veres increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 0 - 3. After 41 minutes, Tatabánya's R. Izsó fell awkwardly, but was determined to stay in the match. That's the spirit! The visitors' G. Caso took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 42 minutes into the match. 0 - 4 for Ballépés. Tatabánya's R. Izsó had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 44 minutes having been played. L. Igaly was the replacement. 0 - 4 was the halftime score. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Ballépés, with 85 percent of the ball.

D. Bárdos received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 51 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 5. The Ballépés fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. The intense heat forced Z. Potyka into making some errors because he couldn't seem to keep up with the others. Ballépés succeeded with their tactics after 59 minutes faking a cross into the penalty area, but instead passing a short side pass back to M. Sordyl who met the ball directly with his outstretched foot. The hard long shot touched the keeper's finger tips, but it wasn't enough to stop it from going in. 0 - 6. After this, you could see that the players of Ballépés were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals. Ballépés's G. Caso got himself booked for a foul. A penalty was awarded after 73 minutes, and D. Bárdos made the most of his chance to put Ballépés up by another goal. 0 - 7 for the visitors. That was his third goal of the match - a hat trick for D. Bárdos. After 83 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed M. Sordyl to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 0 - 8. By then M. Sordyl had scored three goals - a hat trick! After 85 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave D. Bárdos a chance to increase the lead for Ballépés, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 9. 86 minutes were showing on the scoreboard when Ballépés's Z. Potyka received his second yellow card and was sent off. Possession in this half belonged to Ballépés, who controlled the ball 89 percent of the time.

Most important Tatabánya player was K. Zengei. L. Lakatos turned in a dismal performance, however. Ballépés's best player was D. Bárdos. D. Magyar was a disappointment, however. The match ends 0 - 9.
