Ratitsch 1 - 0 Bazinga
(380225330)

13-06-2012 10.30
It had rained all day, but 14307 hardy fans still made it out to
New Trafford.
Pol Kuperus was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Stéphane Ribeiro and
Joachim-Michael Rauberger.
Ratitsch decided to use a 5-4-1 set up.
The following players had been chosen: Mazo Martínez - Schep, Wąsala, Sinoquet, Mrabet, Chasse - Mårtensson, Schrall, Sauthier, Jeckelmann - Dubois.
Bazinga had chosen a strategic 5-4-1 formation.
Lineup: Bandeira - Pérez, Mooshage, Hronek, Velho, Almada - Pilatić, Lurz, Gil, Pamić - Araos.
Ratitsch mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle.
Counter-attacking seemed to be the preferred strategy of Bazinga.
Ratitsch's
V. Dubois refused to leave the field after injuring his achilles tendon after 13 minutes.
16 minutes in, Bazinga appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only
inadequate.
The game was characterised by rough play and many physical challenges on the wet field, but
M. Mrabet showed great heart and had a good game.
After a fine move down the middle
S. Sinoquet nearly gave the home side a goal after 27 minutes. However the finishing shot went just wide.
A scuffle developed as players from both sides clashed following a tussle in the centre of the field 32 minutes into the match. After regaining order and consulting his linesman, the referee called Ratitsch's
A. Wąsala to one side and produced a red card for the player.
It was 0 - 0 at the break.
Ratitsch claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 59 percent.
During the break, Bazinga's coach went through the team's tactics yet again, getting them up to
solid organisation.
Bazinga's
L. Gil was shown a yellow card after 51 minutes for slicing down an opponent.
With 54 minutes gone, a long pass from the defence of Bazinga resulted in a counterattack that set
J. Lurz free through the middle, but the keeper made a spectacular diving save.
Q. Pérez rose like a salmon, and was very close to scoring with a header after a corner, but sent the ball just over the bar.
With the clock showing 65 minutes played, a great pass from the defensive line of Bazinga resulted in a counterattack that was smoothly brought under control by
N. Araos in the centre of the opposition's penalty area, but his finish went high.
69 minutes into the game, Bazinga seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a
weak level of organisation.
L. Gil would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise.
T. Bacamarte entered the game for Bazinga as the match clock showed 79 minutes.
As the captain was no longer on the pitch,
T. Bacamarte took over the role of being the Bazinga captain.
Ratitsch had most of the ball, with 58 percent of possession.
With the scores being level after 90 minutes, the match went into extra time.
The coach gave his players an extra tactical briefing during the break, and after that Bazinga had
solid organisation.
Ratitsch were very close to putting themselves one up after 93 minutes as
P. Mårtensson got through on the left, but failing in concentration, he shot the ball wide.
The result was still a draw, so the match had to be settled with penalties.
Ratitsch's
N. Jeckelmann looked nervous even as he was putting the ball on the spot. He didn't take much of a run up, and his weak shot was easily saved by the keeper.
Bazinga's
Q. Pérez cockily booted the ball with a short-and-fast instep. The penalty, going just wide of the mark, didn't produce a goal.
Ratitsch's
C. Chasse penalty shot was very well placed but
C. Bandeira went the right way, blocking it spectacularly. The score was still 0 - 0.
Bazinga's
J. Lurz drove the ball hard to the corner but couldn't get it past the outstretched arm of
A. Mazo Martínez. The score remains 0 - 0.
Ratitsch's
S. Sinoquet didn't look like he was confident as he stepped up, and produced a badly struck penalty - right into the arms of
C. Bandeira. The score remained 0 - 0.
Clearly nervous from the start, Bazinga's
C. Almada took a long run up, but could only blast the ball over the bar. The score remains 0 - 0.
Ratitsch's
M. Mrabet didn't hesitate but
C. Bandeira managed the save, resulting in an unchanged 0 - 0 score.
Bazinga's
N. Pilatić looked like he knew exactly where he wanted to put the ball, but unfortunately his shot went wide of the left hand post. Still 0 - 0.
Ratitsch's
E. Schep made no mistake.
C. Bandeira didn't have a chance. 1 - 0.
A confident
C. Bandeira of Bazinga put the ball right where he wanted, but
A. Mazo Martínez was right there for the save. No goal.
Most important Ratitsch player was
C. Chasse.
H. Sauthier on the other hand, had a terrible day.
N. Araos performed admirably for Bazinga.
J. Lurz turned in a dismal performance, however.
The match ends 1 - 0.
