The weather was pretty good, and a crowd of 19770 had shown up at
Gives you Hell Arena for the match.

With 24 minutes played, S.F.C. put themselves up 0 - 2 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was

A. Scerra couldn't do anything to stop the technically gifted
L. Woodbury as he dodged past on his way to scoring a wonderful goal for S.F.C. - 0 - 3!
It was 0 - 3 at the break.
loose enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 52 percent of possession.
The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave
A. Elizalde from loose a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 63 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient!
Although the whole team were struggling to impress, loose's
A. Pacosonco was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 72 minutes.
B. Weichhaus was given a chance to change things around.
After 77 minutes, loose switched
M. Cojocaru with
Á. Vivaldo, hoping for a quick impact on the pitch.
loose needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 77 minutes
P. Jansson made way for
A. Licani.
J. Enguita received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 79 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 4. The S.F.C. fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early.
R. Pettinari almost reduced the deficit, having drawn the entire left side defence away, but the shot went straight into the arms of the goalkeeper.
After several obvious shirt pulling incidents,
Á. Vivaldo got himself booked. The manager of loose was not happy.
loose's
Á. Vivaldo managed a superb strike from the left after 86 minutes that would have left goalkeeper
L. Popa without a chance, had it not hit the post.
After 87 minutes, S.F.C.'s
F. Teles de Sousa fell awkwardly, but was determined to stay in the match. That's the spirit!
Always quick on his feet, S.F.C.'s
R. Bänninger sped down the field after 87 minutes, but his pass to
F. Siclari was just a bit too far ahead for him to get a good shot off.
A. Elizalde did everything he could to get one back for his loose, but keeper
L. Popa denied him with a spectacular block.
Possession in this half belonged to loose, who controlled the ball 60 percent of the time.
loose's top performer was clearly
G. Reiprich.
However,
Á. Vivaldo made a disastrous appearance.
F. Siclari performed admirably for S.F.C..
E. Urqhart on the other hand, had a terrible day.
