previous 4/10 next 6/10  AC.FLORIDIA 1 - 2 Torrese (380290773)

12000 punters turned up at SANTUZZO, and despite threatening clouds on the horizon, no rain came. Dudu Comãnescu was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Gerwazy Kolęda and Svein Lien. AC.FLORIDIA decided to use a 3-5-2 set up. Lineup: Nesserberg - Wihall, Figueirinha, Álvarez - Kainz, Rubinský, Suárez, Aduasio, Lichý - Kalenda, Podboj.

Torrese started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. The following players took the field: Cardillo - Thrane, Wolfsberger, Gürkut - Rolfsen, Stigkvist, Kahlbutz, Bording, Kupčulík - Cajet, Landry.

O. Cajet dispatched a majestic long shot 22 minutes into the match, but missed the goal by a few metres. The most controversial moment of the game was likely the penalty given after 29 minutes. Torrese's N. Wolfsberger kept his concentration, despite the upset crowd, and calmly put the ball past the keeper to make the score 0 - 1. A drive down the left side allowed N. Wolfsberger to get in close and score another goal for Torrese after 31 minutes, taking the score to 0 - 2. After 35 minutes AC.FLORIDIA's P. Álvarez limped slightly after a late challenge, but he was able to continue. AC.FLORIDIA had a brilliant opportunity to reply as T. Podboj received a high ball from the right, striking the ball in the air. Only G. Cardillo's reflexes saved him. AC.FLORIDIA's M. Figueirinha refused to leave the field after injuring his achilles tendon after 41 minutes. J. Kupčulík has acquired a talent for predicting the movements of the opposing defence over the years and this almost resulted in a goal 42 minutes into the match. 43 minutes into the game AC.FLORIDIA broke through on the left wing and M. Kalenda managed to reduce the lead to 1 - 2. It was 1 - 2 at the break. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Torrese, with 53 percent of the ball.

AC.FLORIDIA put pressure on the visitors' central defence 87 minutes into the game, but P. Aduasio couldn't find an opening. Some fine passing in the middle of the pitch, carving open the away defence, should have led to a goal for AC.FLORIDIA, but Z. Rubinský's shot went over the bar. Possession in this half belonged to AC.FLORIDIA, who controlled the ball 52 percent of the time.

AC.FLORIDIA's best player was T. Suárez. On the other hand, J. Nesserberg's play was disheartening. Most important Torrese player was O. Cajet. However, J. Kupčulík made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 1 - 2.
