By now, the players in FootyGoal felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. Vergnas had a brilliant opportunity to reply as A. Collomb received a high ball from the right, striking the ball in the air. Only I. Răducanu's reflexes saved him. Vergnas's G. Seibel was shown a yellow card after 44 minutes for slicing down an opponent. FootyGoal's H. Salinas went down after a savage challenge, but could continue playing after some medical attention. 0 - 2 was the halftime score. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Vergnas, with 56 percent of the ball.

Vergnas's A. Gkolas managed a superb strike from the left after 52 minutes that would have left goalkeeper I. Răducanu without a chance, had it not hit the post. After 53 minutes T. Trüschel could have reduced the lead with a blistering strike from the left wing, had it not been for an excellent block by the visitors' keeper. Vergnas's T. Trüschel refused to leave the field after injuring his achilles tendon after 62 minutes. The home side worked their way through the middle and almost got one back when G. Seibel tried to sneak the ball past the keeper. I. Răducanu was too alert for that! The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave P. Płochocki from FootyGoal a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 67 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! After 71 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for R. Martignetti who increased FootyGoal's lead to 0 - 3. Possession in this half belonged to Vergnas, who controlled the ball 56 percent of the time.

Vergnas's top performer was clearly M. Konecki. However, A. Collomb made a disastrous appearance. Most important FootyGoal player was N. Fourre. P. Płochocki on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 0 - 3.
