4767 fans braved the pouring rain at
Bortebane.
Asep Hariyanto was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Giacomo Brancato and
Mateusz Badziak.
Bortelaget decided to use a 3-5-2 set up.
The following players had been chosen: Hajjaji - Beau, Dziak, Wa - Kenyatta, Rada, Scherk, Drakulović, Rebih - Søviknes, Kamet.
Klosteret started off with a 5-4-1 lineup.
The following players took the field: Mic - Pozuelo, Khorshidi, Castellcir, Kupradze, Chwała - Thunes, Bucătaru, Giebels, Buelens - Klenk.
14 minutes of the match played, and a comedy of errors by the home side gave the visitors a chance at the lead, but
M. Thunes, after finding himself dashing down on goal from the left with only the keeper to beat, sliced his shot horribly wide.
I. Pozuelo slipped and slithered in the wet grass. His usual rapid runs were nowhere to be seen today.
18 minutes into the game,
M. Chwała had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came
B. Telenga.
The home crowd was not impressed by the fancy moves of Klosteret's
M. Thunes after 23 minutes. He converted a pass from the left for a goal, resulting in the visitors taking the 0 - 1 lead.
Given a free kick close to the byline, Klosteret tried a move that loyal fans may recognise from training. A pass to the side pulled the defence out of position which let
M. Thunes slip through on goal. He didn't have to break his stride, and slipped the ball past the keeper to make it 0 - 2, 26 minutes into the game.
A spectacular volley from
S. Søviknes almost resulted in a goal, but a good save from the keeper kept it out, and
S. Kenyatta could only knock the loose ball wide.
34 minutes in, Bortelaget appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only
weak.
With 37 minutes played, a quick exchange of passes on the left wing freed
V. Castellcir of Klosteret to slip through the defence and score another goal for the visitors. That made the score 0 - 3.
Klosteret's
G. Buelens left the field after 38 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was
I. Uriarte.
As the captain was no longer on the pitch,
J. Klenk took over the role of being the Klosteret captain.
It was 0 - 3 at the break.
Klosteret enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 57 percent of possession.
During the break, Bortelaget's coach went through the team's tactics yet again, getting them up to
solid organisation.
49 minutes into the match,
J. Klenk came through the middle and almost added to his team's lead, but the shot went wide.
With 50 minutes played,
L. Giebels nearly put the visitors another one up as he broke through in the middle and fired from just outside the box, but his shot passed just over the bar.
With 55 minutes played,
I. Pozuelo of Klosteret fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving.
After 60 minutes, Bortelaget switched
M. Rada with
M. Michaelsen, hoping for a quick impact on the pitch.
S. Holter was called on to replace Klosteret's
J. Klenk after 63 minutes following a nasty collision.
M. Thunes was handed the Klosteret captain's armband.
The bench was restless, and with 80 minutes passed Bortelaget's coach gave
A. Guder the opportunity the player had been hoping for.
J. Scherk reluctantly left the field.
M. Michaelsen became the new Bortelaget captain.
82 minutes into the game, Bortelaget seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a
inadequate level of organisation.
I. Uriarte came close to extending the visitors' lead when he found himself completely unmarked in front of the goal after a pass through the middle. He tried to lift the ball over
K. Hajjaji but overcooked it and hit the bar instead.
A late sliding challenge from
I. Pozuelo was deemed to be his second yellow card offence by the referee, resulting in him being sent off, and Klosteret left a man down.
Klosteret claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 52 percent.
Bortelaget's best player was
E. Kamet.
L. Wa on the other hand, had a terrible day.
The most dominating Klosteret player was without a doubt
I. Kupradze.
B. Telenga turned in a dismal performance, however.
The match ends 0 - 3.
